This happened to me several times and is the outcome of membership for girls being free and girls getting a kick from messing with us.
If its a first meet, out of every 3 I do, I will ghost. Its a reality we have to live with.

Don't book a room unless you have met the girl. If you have another girl as backup, tell the girl the meet will be cancelled, unless she confirms by a certain time, or ask her to share location.

I agree with some of this possibility in India though not very very common. I tried this and did get some decent matches. Met a few too and what I found that they were far vfm than SA girls.
