Hi, She or he or they tried to spam me as well. Similar modus operandi. She ask for booking confirmation and then I shared ofcourse I hid all personal info, only hotel name and check in date was visible. She then called on video ofcourse for like 2 seconds and said his and disconnected. And then started asking name and room number. I said nothing happening before I see her full body on video call for 2 minutes. Then she vanished.

Having realized the danger (from the past experience), I immediately asked girls on both the numbers that deal is off and she can go back. Immediately after that, a guy called me to threaten that he is sending men to my room to bash me since he knows all my location details. Again here, I calmly blocked him on Phone, Whatsapp apps without saying much.

Tip to fellow mongers, this situation is extremely common (more than 90%) when trying through MR. Simply block the person threatening. They'll try from multiple numbers. (once they tried from 6 different numbers to threaten me). Block all without losing calm. That's it. They just want to extort money through blackmailing and threatening.

If you are unfortunately stuck with the girl in your room and she is unwilling to leave while demanding money, just call the reception folks and they are usually capable to scare them off by trying / faking to call LE. It worked for me couple of times.

Overall, it is easy to keep the situation under control.
