I visited Hanoi and HCMC last year. I would say halong bay is certainly worth the hype. Just don't stay overnight on the cruise if you are going solo. If in a group, overnight tour is best. Problem in planning both sightseeing and mongering tour is that most scenic places in Vietnam are located far away from mongering capital HCMC. I didn't found Hanoi to be a very convenient place for paid sex though managed to get few BJs / HJs in MPs there. But as I was there mainly for sightseeing, didn't try much so those who have mongered in Hanoi may throw some light. The mongering capital HCMC or nearby areas do not have much in terms of scenic beauty but otherwise HCMC is a great city to explore. Price wise, they are ok, but the counter persons show attitude and are not warm or friendly. Also the NI therapists I tried were pretty average and greedy too. Don't know if things have changed now.
