You never had issue in other countries, that's fine, but in India Agoda is the worst. In reality it's a scam hotel booking app. Many foreigners have lost money. Bad reviews are available everywhere in internet by foreigners. Surveys have found Agoda to be worst hotel booking app in India. Agoda is not best among all.

Have gone to P spa and PB spa. As correctly pointed out by a few, P spa has a lot of crowd no matter what time you go, PB is a bit better but the cost is also more than P spa but both are VFM. Likewise. Never had issues with Agoda. Have used them extensively to book hotels ranging from 3 to 5 Stars, for mongering and non mongering purposes (but I guess that's more the discretion of the Hotel rather than the website you book from). They do have a cashback feature every time you book a place and I have gotten the cashback with no issues. That being said one should use whatever they are comfortable with.
