The most frequent complaint here is that prices are going up, and the ladies aren't as beautiful as before.

I first read such posts here in 2004, but I suspect that customers have been writing such posts since forever.

There are literally thousands of bars in the Jomtien area, and tens of thousands of ladies. If you are not happy with the selection, the ladies are not the problem.

I've been lurking this forum for years and I have read posts complaining about the pricing year after year in various different country threads. Of course things are not going to stay as cheap as they once were, the world experiences inflation and values always change, is the way I see it. Also, it's not like you're paying anywhere near the same amount of money you'd pay in the US (which I assume most of us on the forum are from) for the same caliber of woman. The going rate for 45 minutes with an Asian massage therapist in Central Florida costs $240 USD and you get at most 2 pops, I never do it because I got spoiled with my mongering trips out of the country. Think about what you can do with $240 mongering in other countries, not just Thailand. I've been to South America many times and I could get a 9/10 (for me of course, we all have different tastes) woman straight out of the university all night and still have at least $140 left over if I don't bother negotiating much. I don't know anything about Thailand as my trip is planned for much later this year, but I am excited to experience it for the first time, but from what I have seen, $240 USD can go a long way.

Guys thanks for all your great help. I will go to Phuket in November via BKK and I'm starting to book hotels. Now I am undecided on whether spending a couple days in BKK or Pattaya. I am not going to visit temples, I am mostly interested in mongering. I have seen that in BKK there are some large bars or massage places with many girls like Poseidon or Thermae while Pattaya is more gogo bars. I am not the guy who can sit for 2 hrs in a bar talking broken English with a girl just to bed her later (paying). I'd rather prefer go straight to the business. On the other hand during the day I'd prefer to stay on the beach rather than in a hot overcrowded city. So can you knowledgeable people give me a suggestion? Thanks a lot..

Pattaya is more than just mostly go go's. I was just in Pattaya (May 2023) and there are plenty of massage places (too many count), freelancers and many other options there. You can be busy day and night.

One of the downsides of being in Pattaya for many years is watching the ladies age.

One lady I barfined in 2018 is now 30+ and is showing her age, making the transition from hot gogo dancer to grandmother while I watch.

Their body tone disappears after they hit 30.

The only good part about ladies aging is that some get a lot hornier. Some ladies I knew when they were younger would do a purely professional session, but now they are insatiable and will fuck until they drop.

In Pattaya you can find countless massage places, beer bars and Gentlemens Clubs where you can quickly get down to business.

Now while Pattaya has a decent beach to sun bathe / relax, the water is not really clean enough to do any swimming IMO.

Hey brother I live in Pattaya not there now as I'm on vacation but I can help you out. It seems from what you wrote that you would like Pattaya more. I mean you said you want to be on a beach that's in Pattaya also don't want to talk just straight to sex go to soi 6 or a massage shop on soi Honey.

I think you answered your question within your question. Pretty obvious where you should go.

November is some six months away, seems way too early to book. I only book the first few days of my trip ahead of time and wing it from there once I've stayed at a hotel (s) to see how I like it, and even that booking is just a month perhaps in advance.

One of them want 500 for 30 minutes and the other one wants 600 for 30 minutes. That should tell you something about overpricing.

I regularly see young attractive girls selling 60 minutes for 1300-1600 baht. The kind of girls you would see in gogos.

Are these gogo quality girls at 1,300-1,600 baht you speak of in Pattaya or the outskirts somewhere?

I read ISG posts relating to all the countries in which I have partaken and in not one of them is the situation not getting worse. All I can say is I am happy I partook where and when I did. Enjoy the now guys for who knows what the future holds?

It's very disheartening to see the current trend in bars in Pattaya. I was last in town in April and have a return booked in August. I also keep up on the city vibe by watching the daily video blogs on YouTube. It's sad to see a street like Soi 6 flooded with girls and nearly any customers. Not only that, but only a few of those girls are worth attention. I don't know how those bars make a profit if the girls are under contract. Don't even get me started on the go-go bar situation! There's no way in hell that I'm going to pay a 1500 baht bar fine, in addition to buying the girl a minimum of 5 or 6 girl drinks (as reported by a blogger), then another 3000 to 5000 for ST. That is just insane! The fact that the girls are being paid suck a lucrative contract gives no inventive for the girl to be barfined at all! Grant it, there still a few places where you can fine a seemingly fair 300 baht barfine and 1200ST, but those places are going by the wayside as more and more "gentleman's clubs and go-go bars keep popping up. Take LK Metro for example, two more go-gos have gone up in recent months (Las Vegas and LK Angels). All that aside, it is encouraging to hear that Soi MIT (the old one) is proposing 66 new beer bars, though I don't know where they'll find the girls to fill them. Personally, I'the like to see the city crack down on the go-gos with stiff taxes. I'm a beer bar kinda guy, always will be. Hope things are a bit improved by my next visit in August.

I can explain the contract situation.

Say pacha has 50 girls last night. If every girl met the minimum to get the full 1,000 salary the bar would be on the Hook for $1,500. End of night bar only pays out $300. As most girls cannot meet minimum s.

The Bars are fine it's the Girls who aren't making money meThinks.

When I say fine the Bars are Surviving.

Like I keep saying no legit business man is going to pay an ugly girl 1,000 if she doesn't bring in any income.

My last night a few days ago at XS. I'd say there were quite a few Uglies, and a lot of almost Uglies. No offense.

Business is a funny thing sometimes and can be affected by fads. It will take awhile for Pattaya to adjust to a new reality. GoGo bars seem to be the current fad and like all fads will eventually fade. I think the main problem for the future is the one you mentioned and that is girls. Demographics in Thailand has changed and not as many girls are available as in the past. I don't see Thailand opening it's borders to girls from other countries to legally work in the sex business, but police may look the other way for girls coming to Thailand illegally. Another problem is the supply of mongers and retirees will dwindle as us baby boomers die off.

New Govt new atmosphere. I don't think Thai girls all of a sudden saw the light and said I'd rather work in a factory rather than an A-go-go. What happened is no foreigner girls were allowed in. Not an insignificant number.
