The view is spectacular day or night. The food is better than what you normally get in a place that has a waterfront or mountaintop view because these places can get away with low quality product that would not be tolerated at a place without the killer view. I rate the food on par with the other upscale places in Poblado. The prices are very fair.

Has anybody ever eaten here? It's right next to Loutron and it gets really high marks for food and atmosphere. Do you know if there is a way to get there without walking all the way around via the street? They're right on top of one another and I find it hard to believe there isn't a path or a staircase between the two. I get peckish after the deed and a good meal with a view fits the bill.

I have eaten there and it is as advertised, the view is spectacular and food is great. I went there without a reservation and the hostess seated us upstairs and there was a fine ass chica Djing up there.

You're thinking of the wrong danger. The danger, if they have no ID, is that they are also lacking the 18 years required to make them safe, from the legal perspective.

Of course, as has been reported before, if they don't have an ID, and they're working with the police, it doesn't matter if they're 25. You end up paying a big bribe, probably 1 that will require a visit to the ATM.

That of course is the best case scenario. Worst case you end up doing a Jake.

That is a big scam that happens in the Philippines. Girl with no ID, police knock on the door, police say girl is underaged, girl says she is 17. With no ID, and the police and the girl saying she is 17, what is your defense? It puts you in a difficult situation where it will be money for the bribe or being taken to the police station until you decide to get the money for the bribe.

Now I don't know if this is a thing in Medellin. I just know that it is a thing in the Philippines.

My airbnb specifically said "no sex tourism". My airbnb had a doorman but I specifically got an airbnb on 1st floor away from doorman. I averaged about 2-3 girls per day for 2 weeks, never was questioned by doorman nor host. I know my doorman saw at least a couple of my girls come and go, especially when one of my longer term girls took out the trash walking right by the doorman and giving him a hola, como esta? I should also note I added a 2nd guest to my airbnb (at no additional cost) prior to paying for it. Did this in the event if I was ever questioned I would say the girl is my guest. But never had too.

Don't be naive, they know what were there for and they care more about renting there shit out than the no sex tourism bs.

I agree with you DL that those renting out their places only care about money, however I think you are missing a few things.

I rented a place in Mexico City for four nights for like $400. The owner claimed I did $900 worth of damage. She had a picture of a dirty dish and scuff marks on a couch. We were running late to the airport and did not have time to clean like I like to. I gave her $50 and showed Airbnb the costs of a maid and to clean a couch in Mexico City and stated that $50 should cover it. I also told AirBnb that I doubted that we caused the scuff marks and said I felt like the owner was trying to stick it to a gringo. I also said if they sided with her that I would cancel my account and would not willingly pay them that $900 and would see them in court.

AirBnb did something I thought at first was weird but later realized was smart. They kept telling me they were investigating the case for weeks. I suspect that AirBnb was saying to the lady if you are apartment is not up to par, we are not going to put your apartment up on the site for people to rent it. In other words, you are going to have to spend $900 in repairs and THEN we will ask for you to be compensated or you can say the $50 is enough for cleaning and getting the place up to snuff. Now she is losing potentially $100 a night in rent. Worse, her reputation is being dinged. Finally, I think she backed off and told AirBnb the $50 for cleaning was adequate. Point is Airbnb was smart and was not going to let the woman profit off her potentially false claim.

So DL what are you going to do if the items in the apartment are vandalized, and the owner says I want $5000? You got a doorman saying you have women coming and going. You could have Airbnb saying you are engaged in sex trafficking and potentially in a USA court in violation with your agreement with the owner. You are cooked and have no defense. The smartest thing for you to do at that point would be to pay that owner whatever he wants.

If your Airbnb host says no trafficking, take your women to a love motel. Airbnb has different rules than hotels.

One of my favorite places in town! The view is unbeatable and a good date spot. Try to ask for the 1st row tables at the balcony which have unobstructed views when making reservations.

Oddly enough, I don't advise getting steak here, they can't seem to get the doneness right (actually I have yet to be impressed with steak in Colombia anywhere).

Not aware of another entrance than the street courtyard.

Visited there few weeks ago. Communicated with them on the usual (Photoprepagos) route on WA. When I texted back and fourth I was told I needed an appointment an hour in in advance with one of the girls. I asked if I could just show up now at the present time. She said yes and sends me a gallery of about 9 photos and tells me to let her know which one I want. I figured since there was a group of girls that work out of there I'd just show up and choose which ever one's were available. The rooms are the worst. There's no hot-tub, clean floors or luxury beds like in their photos. The room in Angels that I was in didn't even have a bathroom. They used a community one. I guess this escort sites are a better way to go for them, By the time you go through the trouble and planning of getting there. You either give in or sacrifice and start over again. Just to add a note that the previous Sunday at New Life I probably sat through one of worst presentations I've seen there. I even think there was a transvestite in the mix. Some do, some don't. They can toss you out on your ear with no refund if they want if they want. Airbnb will not support the guest in that case. Anyway it worked out for you and that's great. It's different from some I stayed in where the owner and family were right next door.

Here's an example of someone who obviously doesn't want any visitors in her apartments:

"The conditions of the reservation must be maintained with the number of guests previously registered. In case of requiring a modification, inform the host to generate the charge (Maybe she meant "change", but it's written in Spanish and states "el cargo") Entering the property by a guest without notice generates a fine of $100 USD.

- Visitors are not allowed. In exceptional cases you must notify the host.

Failure to comply with the rules generates a charge of 300 USD".

The host (a woman) has 17 properties listed on Airbnb. Why anyone would agree to those conditions is beyond me. Suppose a couple (non mongers) rents her apartment and meets another couple and wants to invite them to the apartment for dinner. That could potentially result in a $400 charge.

I don't have a language barrier and if I did I would not be in Centro without a reliable wing man.

What your pointing out pretty much in a nutshell sums up what typically differentiates the experiences guys have in Centro. It can be a minefield at times, and if you don't have Spanish speaking skills the chances of having problems and bad experiences versus good ones is greatly increased. Medellin is not like a border town such as Tijuana where the language barrier is not an issue. What guys have to realize is that the vast majority of the clients are locals, versus foreigners in Centro. Additionally the place is not for the timid or those afraid of their shadow.
