I'm finally here. Boots on the ground. I know Sunday's not the best day for this activity, but I have today and tomorrow before moving on to Medellin and I'm trying to maximize my time spent.

Took a stroll through the market in Usaquen before heading down to Absolut Spa around 11:30. White door is not fully shut, which I thought was strange, but wasn't stopping me. So I walk in and go up the stairs while a girl walks out and a guy is rather aggressively shouting "Cerrado! Cerrado!" So I take the hint and turn around and follow the girl back down the stairs. Which upon further investigation seems like it's going to be similar to my Absolut experience. High optics, kinda high price, hopefully good service. Your luck that I have nothing to do don't listen to anyone here the best option is to take a hotel and stay in santa fe.

The area arounfd Teqendama is a great place to stay-- Teqendama Suites and Ibis are favorites of many here--Good restaurants and tourist places-.

Also many great AirBnB-- You have to research these yourself-.

But the area around Teqendama there are many and also continuin South around Calle 19 and CRA 5 and into La Candeleria-.

I would stay in those near TH and near calle 19.

Wish I could just use a CC to pay so I can message people that's currently in Bogota without having to jump through so many loops.

My two cents on Zona T is that it can be a great area to meet non-pros who are more likely to speak English. If you're looking for women in their early / mid 20's, it's a great option on weekend nights (especially Mono Bandido). There's numerous Airbnb rentals in that area. IMO, the walk to Santa Fe during the daytime is ok. The night can be sketchy. If you are comfortable walking to Hotel San Francisco from Santa Fe, then the Airbnb walk would be similar. Or to be safe, take taxi/ride share.

I prefer Zona T. More restaurants, bars, Luckia poker room. FYI: You always will get a seat, on the Transmilenio number 8 bus, from Santa Fe Calle 22 to Calle 85 between 5-8 pm. Great transport mode if you get a place near the Zona T Calle 85 bus stop. Very safe route.

If I'm really desperate and haven't tapped into my monger budget I can always see if I can finagle something not terrible from Lido.

Not sure, when I was at that one and the Estelar La fontana near the Unicentro Bogota I was with my fiance and she was always registered with me. When I was hitting it hard, I would meet with the manager the first day and tell him I will be holding interviews for prospective employees and I want to be sure they will not be charged as guests. It always worked.
