I partially agree with this (at least with regards to Soi 6- I really don't have an opinion about GoGos because I never go go to them). The hate is a bit overblown.

Koreans tend to go places en masse and rarely do you see the lone pair walking around in a Farang area (Buakhao) - or god forbid all by himself. They are uncomfortable in areas they are not the majority. They have completely colonized Angeles City in the Philippines to the point where its finished as a scene, and now a few top tier GoGos in Pattaya are hanging on the brink. They have a small beachhead in Soi 6 where the few brave Koreans who can operate without backup wander- but I don't think they are completely throwing the market there all by themselves.

As Mr Bunky points out, the internet has a big part of changing things, and Soi 6 is now advertised on Facebook, twitter, and instagram where the primary activity is buying racks of shots for scantily clad girls. Full stop. Younger mongers seem to have jumped at this concept for whatever reason. It might be due to lower testosterone levels in the Millenials, or some sort of residual Woke social programming where sex with women is seen as exploitative- but for whatever reason it seems that most men of all ethnicities are going to Soi 6 to buy expensive drinks and have shitty conversations in google translate with or without the Koreans causing all of this.

Eventually the girls and the bar owners discovered there were customers who were willing to pay FAR above the going rate for sex. (And as Mr. Sopheni laments, willing to settle for the sexual equivalent of a "short pour.") There were also new customers who were happy to pay Soi Six prices for sex-adjacent services. And there were even guys who were happy to just sit and drink with their mates. Perhaps the Soi Six vibe was enough entertainment for them. Perhaps some of them were part of that younger generation of guys who seem less interested in sex. Who knows?

It really doesn't matter. Because the girls and the bar owners are a clever adversary. They work on Soi Six every single day. As the naughty boys come and go, they have become adept at sussing out how to extract maximum money for minimum sex. So long as the demographics of the patrons continues to expand, so long as their demands for sex continue to drop, the folks who run Soi Six and who work there are going to charge more money for less naughty.

Normally I have to make the first move, and be happy if 10 to 20 percent replies, but now I have a lot of choice.
If you cannot find a decent looking girl in Pattaya right now, you must be chasing only 8's and up.
