Yes shaving leaves your skin irritated and also has very high risk of getting cuts, hai removal creams not advisable as I tried it once and experience was very horrible my balls were burning as hell, waxing will definitely be painful and over time will make new hairs more stronger and thicker, laser removal will be expensive and you will need to get 7-10 sessions which will eventually lead to less and thinner hairs in those areas and not complete removal of hairs permanently also not sure of how it will affect once potency, safest and cheapest option till date I have experienced is body groomers from Phillips, if you use it on regular basis yes it may somewhat thicken the hair but not like you get from waxing and shaving, I generally use it once or twice a week or before going for a mongering sessions. Trimmers fail to do close shave. I haven't tried waxing but it would be painful especially over scrotum. I use copious amount of shaving foam and shave the areas including scrotum, perineum and perianal region with Gillette Mach 3 onwards shaver. These shaver have movable heads and I get close shave without any nicks and cuts.
