Hi all,

Sorry for what might seem a stupid question, but based on a few recent reports on experiences in the High end Soapies like Maria's, Poseidon etc I now have my doubts, if anyone in the know has a moment to clarify.

I assumed that the main feature in the high-end soapies is that you get lathered up with soap in the shower or bath and then have a good frolic on a inflatable mat on the floor covered in soap?

However on the recent reports posted here, it sounds like they just offer a pretty standard massage / FS service very similar to the run of the mill "oily" massage shops on Sukhumvit road and the likes of Soi33 etc etc.

If that's the case, it doesn't really sound if it's worth the extra expense and time these days, especially if you only have a short time in Bangkok?

Am I understanding correctly what they offer these days?

The difference is in who gives the "massage". A hot, young girl / woman, probably without kids, or a mother of three, long past her prime.

The bar fine at Spankys was 1 K and I paid 3 K to the girl for ST. (never did LT) Drinks are about 180 THB and lady drinks were priced at 200 THB. Rates at 102 Massage on Soi 24 was about 3 K for 1 hour of nuru massage.
