To my fellow Centro rats, just out of curiosity what is the back story on the change of name / ownership of Premier Plaza to Botero Casa? The only difference I could see besides the sign is the absence of the gringos who used to hang out on the balcony overlooking ground zero.

On a related note, it seems the large Bluetooth speakers are allowed inside the wire again. So far it's karaoke style vallenato and cumbia "singers. " I wonder how far behind the raooers and indigenous child dance troupes can be.

There is an American guy sitting and playing old music-1970's-80's rock music loud with a bluetooth speaker in the area. He is with a few other guys. They all are unattractive and strange.

Idk if I write a report a month ago but I went to gustos and la isla. 550 k for girl at la isla. All rooms are the same price now. Thats almost 150 usd. Before like the end of 2022 it was 350 k for 30 minutes. Thats under 100 usd.

Went to gustos. Surprisingly I saw a girl I met at lleras in the middle of 2022. She cost 250 k back then. Now I saw her at gustos and she was charging me in dollars. She said 200 usd. I'm like what? You're the same person your not even a 7. She's lije 150 usd because she knows me. I'm like bah you can leave my apartment bye. I asked how much she would charge me if I call her tomorrow. 150 usd. I'm like I'm not paying premium prices for truly not that great of a girl.

She told me that is what everyone us charging and what gringos are accepting. Whatever. Also gusto has a lot more gurls than men like 7 to 1.

Anyways I bring this up to question pricing....

Are gusto 150 usd prices justified now that the best establishment in medellin la isla is charging basically 150 usd? What do you guys think? I wouldn't pay more than 400 k cop for even the best girl.

You know what I think happened at la isla? The cop got to basically 5 k at one point so la isla wanted 100 usd and just converted. Now that the price is high and gringos are taking it they won't lower it. Also the priced out middke class colombians so who knows if this was truly good for business.

I think it's just Colombian culture. I've seen this stubbornness in other countries, but it's much more pronounced here. For example, I know the real estate market here a bit having owned two condos in the past. You could not believe the number of local Paisas that will let an apartment sit vacant for YEARS rather than lower the rent (or price) by 10%. They have a set number that someone told them it was worth and they're sticking to it. Similar case with the girls. Most of us have business sense and would factor in opportunity cost (ie it's late at night and if I don't accept an offer I'm going home with $0 vs the $40 I spent on entry and drinks!) . Not so with the girls... some guy paid them $300 two months ago and they're holding out for another one-off idiot. I also think they don't want to go against the chica pricing union and lose face.

There has been a lot of discussion on the so-called going rate for Facebook girls. My opinion is that there is not one going rate. Every girl is different and has her own opinion on how much she is worth. Age and appearance are big factors. There is only one way to find out. Ask her or if she says, how much will you offer, start your negotiations with a number that you are willing to give. That number depends on you. Now I will tell you what I do but this doesn't mean that it is the right number. I start out with 200 mil and would be willing to go up to 300 mil. Transportation is usually extra, about 50 mil roundtrip. I usually ask for 1. 5 to 2 hours for that price.

As for time, of course, half day or overnight is different from one to two hours. I am not interested in long time stays so I don't know the general number for longer stays.

If you want two shots over 2-3 hours, let her know, make your offer and then she will accept or counteroffer and the price will be somewhere in the middle.

It is probably best to start with less than 2 hours for the first meeting because you may not actually like her. Then after you meet her, you can negotiate for all day if that is what you want.

This is just my opinion based on my personal experiences and your experiences may differ.

This is the most realistic post in this thread so far becuase it is the most likely outcome besides the few exceptions that can happen. If you don't make an agreement because it spoils your mood or whatever other reason then you open yourself for "you owe me more" type discussions or worse, or you could have an amazing session for less money than you imagined or no money at all. I am going to medellin for my first time in early December for a whole week. I think I'm successful finding normal girls for several reasons. I speak Spanish fluently and try to know as much as I can about the city and the culture in Medellin. I make an effort to target girls who have full-time jobs, live in decent neighborhoods, and don't have kids as well. I talk to girls extensively before I meet them (this tends to screen out most of the grillas and trafficked girls you mentioned). I also ask girls out for a coffee or lunch / dinner to get a better read on them vs. Right to my apartment. Have I met some semipros that way? Yes. Most semipros I meet end up being a great experience and I'm more than happy to give a regalito to them after sex. My point from before is that if you get a girl who tells you "the me lo que quieres" (give me what you want) or "the me un regalito" (give me a gift) when they are about to leave, just give them 200 or 250 k. I've never had someone get pissed at me when I've done that. At the same time, I've met and slept with many nonpros as well, including the girl I was just living with for three weeks.

I first visited Medellin last December and went to La Isla twice with a group of guys (a mix of ISG members and their friends). I remember the prices being around 350-400 K for 40 minutes. That was expected for a high-end club. I didn't partake because I was seeing women during the days for cheaper and longer. Then I saw a post last month that said it was now 550 K (like you said). Considering there's a 50 K cover charge and you have to buy drinks, you're looking at 650 K+ total for 40 minutes. No fucking way. You could find gorgeous women elsewhere for a fraction of that price. The idiots you see throwing around bills are the ones driving up prices and happily getting ripped off for a woman who probably finished fucking another guy 30 minutes before they showed up.

Gustos has always been a rip-off. My entire group got quoted $300 USD from different women. I just drank and hung out.

It is just the way it is. Almost all of the girls I chat with on FB do not ask me for money but most expect payment if they have sex with you. So to avoid misunderstandings, I ask them how much they expect if we meet, and rarely is a girl offended. Instead, they usually give me a price or they ask how much I would give them. When I first visited Medellin, I meet a girl who did not ask me for money in the chats but after we had sex, she asked me for money and it was an awkward negotiation when services have already been rendered and accepted. As is often the case with guys on this site, you seem to have some fantasies going on in your head. The typical Medellin girl that finds her way on a foreigner's Facebook friend list is working, selling sexual services, content, or both and most if not all that you felt like you got "for free" felt cheated after the fact but didn't have the courage to ask for her money. That's assuming you aren't blowing smoke which is common enough here.
