Been in Bangkok a few days now and some observations:

Some talk on this thread about passport bros. First time I came to Thailand in 2017 you never saw African Americans, fast forward six years and you see them here and there. But you also see female African Americans. I don't think passport bros is good for the traditional mongering scene, has nothing to do with race but to do with the effect of it driving prices up which has happens in Colombia and Dominican Republic. Hopefully SEA is too isolated for it to happen.

Long before 2017, social media, and monger websites, I have seen Blacks in Thailand during my trips. Maybe not in the high numbers as other groups of people but who cares. People have constantly complained about prices in the DR, Columbia, Brazil, and Thailand long before passport bros name was ever created or thought about. People will continue to complain about prices or a bad trip / experience but that will not stop others from enjoying their trip and still not overpay.

Yes the local girls off TF. But honestly there's not much quality on TF and the dates are boring. My focus in BKK has been civvies and it's gone decent so far, the mongering I'll do in Pattaya (cheaper and more options).

Have taken multiple strolls through the freelancer areas and Nana Plaza and haven't seen one above average girl; with freelancers quoting 2,000 to 3,000 and a few 1,500.

With the lack of talent, I don't see the point in paying those prices as I can just wait for Pattaya and get 1,000-1,500 bht ST sessions.

I've actually been mainly sightseeing and eating good, phone is blowing up with texts from civvies and I'm not all that interested; went on a few dates and found them boring.

Met an Italian tourist while sightseeing at a temple. We ended up chatting and walked around together for a while. Eventually ended back at my hotel for some Italiana fun. I agree with your assessment though, I think they are going to create demand side issues long term. The more men who head to these destinations, the higher prices will tend to go and the worse the attitudes of the girls will tend to get. It is what it is, on the flip side maybe the men swarming all these places resulted in proper industries forming like we see in Germany, Brazil and Thailand of old. So maybe the opposite happens. I think given how online most of the passport bros will likely be, many of them are going to be hunting there.

As for the quality of the options in Thailand, I agree with you. The situation on the ground is absolutely dire right now. Anyone who says otherwise is blind or has been banging average looking women for cheap sex for so long they can't tell the difference. Quite frankly I think a lot of the girls are moving online and freelancing, they are not working the streets and the bars as much. This is not great for those who enjoy meeting the ladies when they are out and about, or at least being able to vet them a bit. I personally think that the bar and gogo scene is in a lot of trouble and its going to have to consolidate at some point. Women simply don't need them to meet men and punters anymore.

Ok, here's a little background, so this fella is a youtuber who moved to Bangkok some years ago, and he mainly reports on his travels around Thailand, tries to push real estate and generally talks about his semi-retired life in Thailand. I give him kudos cause he's ex-military, and I suspect thru a combo of his Army pension, the dividends from his REIT holdings, and probably a huge chunk of change from mom and dad (since they own real estate in San Francisco), is how he funds his fantastic life in Thailand. And up until now, the stuff he talks about is pretty ok, non too political or anti whatever. But as of late, he's gone down this weird path I feel. I watched his videos in the past cause he's living the dream. Semi-retired in Bangkok, who doesn't want to do that? I want to do that, we all want to, but his rhetoric now is really taking the cake. He's lifting himself up above the rest of us hobbyists like he's special or unique. I mean, come on fellas. We all know, anytime a foreign dude is in Bangkok, it's not for the food, the culture, or even work. All of that stuff happens, it's fine, it's a bonus, but the main reason is always the chicks. Thailand has more to offer than just cheap sex and its nightlife. It offers an affordable lifestyle at a low cost of living, good healthcare, its safe, the weather is great, beautiful nature, nice people, decent infrastructure for a developing country, great airport links to the rest of the world, decent food, great shopping, etc.

IT makes perfect sense that people who can afford to retire there or work remotely from Thailand would look to do that, and the fact that you have access to better dating options and paid sex that is not illegal is the massive cherry on top for a lot of guys.
