A couple logistical questions. I've read differing opinions and just want to know any recent experiences. Has anyone had trouble paying for Uber with a card (instead of cash)? And has anyone had trouble using a card to pay for Rappi? (Not sure if Rappi is the most common delivery service in Rio.).

Yeah, did 20 rides in Rio. Last few days. Neither of 2 usa credit cards worked on the app but they did allow me to request rides using cash. However 90% of Uber drivers claimed they were not paid (liars. Scammers) so I ended up paying twice, one time cash later on credit card. Really. So I found a way to deposit to an Uber account on the app. That solved the problem. Then suddenly my credit cards started working. Go figure. Rappi no info.

Last time I was in Rio and at classicos beach club. I tried all I could and couldn't spot any hookers.
