I have encountered this with a few premium buildings in SG as well though not as gross as you experienced. Even a pimple around genital area is big red flag for me. There is no cure or treatment for genital warts. It is lifelong. Only the warts can be removed but the virus still survives in the body and the warts can recur. Genital warts are caused by some strains of the HPV virus. There are 100+ strains. Some are relatively benign and the body resolves the virus on its own, but other strains are dangerous. There is a vaccine called gardasil which prevents some variants of HPV that causes genital warts and cervical cancer. Yes, you heard me right, HPV is responsible for about 60-70% of cervical cancers in women and can increase risk of getting certain cancers in men. So if you are not careful, you can end up infecting your significant other with a potentially deadly virus. And condoms do not protect fully against HPV.
