I started doing most of my posts this way, as I did sense (like you have for sometime now), that there was some delay in my posts showing up. Perhaps just my imagination, perhaps NOT, but that's what now works best for me.

My posts were not held for moderation for the first several years I was an ISG member. That only started about 5-6 years ago. My posting style and methods have not changed from the way I always did it from the beginning.

Looking in the FAQs for why posts are held for moderation, none of the reasons listed apply to me or my posts as far as I can tell.
