Unfortunately to get the best results from FB you need to start well before your arrival. I'd say maybe 2 months out. You'll need to use the search function where others went over the basics of getting started on FB. There are a few "guide" posts on this forum.

Just a word of warning on setting up a second FB account. Not sure if it's just me or happened to others too. If you are not careful. FB will make an association between your main and your second account, so your second account might start showing up as suggested friend to your friends on the main account. Some of my friends even tried to friend my second account because I used real photos and a name that is very close to my real name. It wasn't a problem for me because I'm single, but may be problematic for others.

To be as safe as possible I would get a different phone for the second FB account and maybe even have VPN enabled on it permanently. And obviously use a throwaway email address.

I also noticed guys saying (in this thread and in PMs) they can't seem to get FB game going. I suspect that's probably because they don't put the right content on it. When I created mine I uploaded a few photos when the account was created, then every few weeks or so I'd upload some more so that there's some kind of a timeline for the account. When I arrive to MDE I take a selfie with the Medellin sign in Parque Lleras. I also use the photos that I'd use for a real profile. I. e. Face is clearly visible, no sunglasses, high res. If you are on a short visit you may be better off taking the San Diego route because it leaves the airport more frequently than the Centro bus and as I mentioned it arrives in San Diego faster. First timer should go with Nutibara if considering doing El Centro. First timer with beginner Spanish might not want El Centro depending on the size of the cojones. Tickets are bought for next February, I've been watching a lot of recent passport bro videos to prepare and got access to the Prepago Google Map.
