I meant the Fields Ave trike mafia. Even many years ago, I was told they charge the locals the same as the foreigners.

I never verified what I was told. I never hung out at Kokomos and Envy, and watch the trike drivers. I walk by them a lot, and it seems they are always waiting for a tourist; hardly ever working.

I wrote Angeles; Angeles is a large city. Outside of Fields Ave, you should be able to get the local price, but of course as a tourist, you have to agree on the price beforehand.

Are they ignorant, not wanting to negotiate, or exaggerating the cost in the hopes I give them a larger tip.

Hey Peeps, Just curious if the visit during the week before Christmas and / or New Year will be eventful in Angeles city? Knowing they are pro Christians wondering if there will be bars, girls and pubs open and happening on these days?

I was in AC last Christmas and it was quiet on Christmas eve and Christmas day but there were still girls begging to be barfined. (They were missing out on Christmas so at least they wanted to make some money). If you arrive Christmas Eve I suggest you grab the first barfinable girl and get her to agree to LT as it might be quiet by midnight.

Towards New Years eve it picked up and new years eve itself was cool with parties in the bars and hotels.

Dont know where you are based but flights from the US are hellish expensive at that time...around $3k US. But fuck it, you only live once.

I was there last year during that week, and yes it was slower, but still plenty of girls, And the NYE party at Aqua was pretty epic. But. I was there for a few weeks so I didn't mind the slower week. I'll be there again this year. But if that's the only week you have, maybe skip. I will say the weather last year was fantastic, for me at least. Overcast almost every day but barely rained in weeks. I like to walk around and I wasn't getting destroyed by the beating sun and sweating my ass off constantly.

No need to suck their dicks unless you like to stand in line. I ask local women what are the rates. I have never seen hookers argue with trike drivers as both know the rate. I have seen the blind massage therapists troop in for their trike home. All flat rates.

As for all the 101 economics, drop the price and business goes up. Rates are more or less fixed and foreigners unhappy with it should walk. We are talking about a trike ride, buttons, not Donald Trump's The Art of the Deal.

Yes p50. That was pre-covid and I should have mentioned that. Not that it makes much difference, as the standard tryke ride was p100 at that time also. However locals paid (at the time) less. Besides one-off gogo girls, I ended up 'going around' or dating mamas, and shop girls. More than once as we approached a tryke, the girl would say to me something like: "Don't talk to the driver. I will do it". As the driver dropped us at our destination, when he would normally charge me alone p100 (the going rate), the girl would hand him p60 (or other, less than 100). Drivers rarely balked, but had I been on my own they would have insisted on 100. That was then. Several gogo girls told me that they had a driver on-call whom they paid a weekly rate to so that they didn't have to shell out each time. Ah, the good-old / bad-old days.

I mentioned the low tip for a different reason: Never did a gogo girl not go with me a second time. Nor did any of their bar-mates balk at going with me. Had I given them nothing, I imagine that nothing would have changed in this respect. Had I given them p500, I imagine that nothing would have changed in this respect.

You probably can negotiate down to the normal overpriced rate if they initially tried to gouge you. But I doubt you can negotiate anything close to the normal rate that people pay outside of Angeles. The trike drivers overcharge everyone. The Angeles trike drivers charge more than the Grab cars.

If the trike drivers would only understand the AT&T example. IMO, if they would charge half the price, they would increase there business by 3 or 4 times, or more. They would make more money.

There have been disagreements on the Board in years past regarding whether you should tip an AC girl or not.

An interesting argument for the pro-tip crowd was: If you don't tip the girl, she will remember you and report you as a cheap-charlie in her bar, thus limiting your access later.

That might only matter with the girls who are popular, the girls who can be barfined every single day. One also has to take into account that the girl might exaggerate the tip amounts in order to elicit higher tips from the current customer. I always tip (since 2004 when it really wasn't necessary; I have a weak spot for girls that suck my penis). I have a regular that can be barfined every single night. When she is informed that I will be barfining her later in the night, she will decline barfine offers from other customers (but she will accept lady drinks).

The opposite argument was also made by some gents: "I never tip, and never had any trouble getting the same hottie to re-barfine with me, nor her workmates".

I would guess that is correct for most girls who are barfined 3 or less times per week. I am guessing that applies to more than half the girls in Angeles.

Use Grab (car). Prices are similar compared to the prices from the trike mafia. I've been paying my regular girl's ride home on Grab. It cost around 145 pesos. Those trike drivers will charge her 150.
