By giving full name and hotel room information, we will be putting ourselves in a lot of risk for blackmail. There is no reason for anyone to know your full name much less an agent or a girl. They can ask for your room number and your first name. Then they call you at your hotel room to make sure you are really there. I had to do that in Tokyo. The girl showed up directly to my room and there were no issues.

Copy of the hotel room key is really not a big deal. While no one could do anything with your live location just at that one moment, I never felt comfortable allowing people to track me. Continuous broadcast of your location allows criminals to know when exactly you would be showing up at a place to jump you.

Many of these people here who ask for such identifying information turn very rude and abusive when you refuse to give such information. That makes me think that these are scammers looking to blackmail. So, no, I don't think this is normal in anyway for people to ask for your full name. Not everyone asks for such information either and that is also a tell tale sign.
