Intention wasn't to inconvenience anyone or jack up the rates. As I said, its not my forte to haggle or bargain. But mentioned it clearly here so people can do what I couldn't.

Yes overnight will be allowed if you have booked for double occupancy, in day time they allow all guests.

Ofcourse if room is booked for double occupancy or else guest policy is 9 to 2100 in marriot others may be similar moreover no one really cares in a 5 star property but better get registered guest visiting to void anu undue hassle if something goes south.
