I herewith pronounce the patient dead. Actually not dead. The body is decomposing already. Gone are the days where you could snipe at girls in broad daylight. Upper posta road is dead. Most joints closed. And the ones which are left are almost empty. Kenyan nightlife shifted to Bamburi town. Gone are the days of 24/7. Can you get laid? Absolutely. If you prefer aged hard core hookers past their prime? Some still ply their trade. It's different times now. Different generation. Kenya has changed dramatically. To get laid go to the countryside. Gone are the days where girls flocked to Mtwapa in search of a muzungu husband. Why? Lack of Wazungu. The long term residents on tourist visa all have GFs of course. Don't come here for 2 or 3 weeks holiday. Unless you have contacts prepared or deep pockets. Since COVID times have changed dramatically. Plus super dumb government policies like introduction of eVisa. Now too little too late. Mtwapa became another booming boring middle class suburbia of Mombasa. The bright side. To live here is DIRT cheap. But to get high quality girls you need to spend now a lot of more time and effort. In tinder or Badoo. As I said sniping days here gone here. Try your luck in one of the middle class joints like the very fancy upmarket Screenshot where the middle class hands out on Saturdays. My take is. Kenya is getting too rich and boring and westernized. At least Mombasa and Nairobi. I'd try second tier cities. Or get the hell out. Uganda is still good. So is Rwanda. Even Dar es Salaam was good to me.
My conclusion. Don't come here for 3 weeks unless you have quality contacts prepared. There's no shooting in the barrel any more. If you have 3 months you can find gems.
Mwalimu.

Mwtapa is too much for new visitors. And Nyali is boring sometimes.
I made some research of hotels near Big Tree, already some time ago but probably mostly valid, Call or email to your hotel before booking and ask "what is your visitor policy".

My holiday in Mombasa is over and I am fairly happy with the outcome. I didn't have a lot of girls. I was happy with one or two per week.
I offered 3000 kes to one girl who would spend the evening and night at my place. I soon realised that if I want sex, I want sex. I don't want to invest a whole evening just to have sex once or twice. She was sweet and a nice person, but the only thing I really wanted was sex. This dating game is not for me.
I started becoming a little bolder on the dating apps. Less laughing faces, more full stops at the end of sentences. Be polite but firm if you don't want to waste time with BS.
I learned to play like this too late in my stay, didn't have many girls like this. I don't even know if it works that well. I gave one girl 6000 kes for "very short time", which is short time one shot. It was the worst sex I ever had. You may end up paying more money for poor service. If you date the girl and take her back to your place, you know she won't be expecting more than 3000 kes.
Overall I loved the energy of Kenyans. Much less neurotic than Europeans, good vibes. The worst people I met were Europeans with stinky attitudes.
Mtwapa is a cozy place. Next time I want to stay closer to the beach, but I wouldn't know where. Nyali beach was nice, and the big shopping mall (Nyali Centre) is very convenient, but I expect rent to be much higher in that area. Staying in Mtwapa and taking Uber everyday is probably much cheaper, but transport is just a pain.
I didn't explore the night life. Didn't even go to Casaurina. Maybe this was a mistake, but I didn't like the vibes I was getting at night. The only night I had was a complete nightmare, I described it in a previous field report.
Coming to Mombasa means you need to get a little tough. This is not SEA. It doesn't feel safe, especially at night. There is no Sinosphere with its set of behavioural rules that maintains the social harmony and provides you with a cozy interface to interact with people. Here you are just a mzungu surrended by tribesmen and women and you talk directly to the man or woman. You feel alone.
My next trip will be in Asia, I don't know where yet. Could be anywhere between India and the Philippines. If you have any suggestion I am listening. .

All this right in the peak of tourist season and near government holiday. If I wasn't already in Kenya, I would go elsewhere.

NAIROBI, Dec 12 (Reuters) - Visitors to Kenya from across the world will no longer require a visa from January, President William Ruto said on Tuesday.
Ruto said his government had developed a digital platform to ensure all visitors would receive an electronic travel authorisation in advance, instead of needing to apply for a visa.
Now the question remains: will you have to pay for this "electronic travel authorisation" ?

Then maybe someone likes to talk philosophy with working girls and so studying this language becomes fundamental.
*****s that you can also find in your same country on these days, white yellow and even green.
Fun to go 10,000 miles to meet a working girl but that's okay. It's important not to feel like a university professor.
I also prefer the girls I meet in their everyday life. Some will be the same ones that work at the Casaurina in the evening?
Probably. But working girls are also women. If I meet them as working girls they will be working girls. If I meet them as women they will still be less working girls.
Instead the customer who goes with working girls as such always remains the same.
