Been reading through the forums and appreciate the trove of information that's in this forum. (lots of pages to read through). I had a couple of questions if somebody wouldn't mind answers:

1) I am a westerner but Indian. Realize I am going to have to figure my way around "dealing with that" but what would be the recommended is the sure fire way of getting quality girls? Let's call that 10 days in Bangkok. I don't think that's too long.

You are correct that jet lag is a factor coming from the United States and adjusting to a time change of 9-12 hours. The heat and humidity is also a challenge, especially if you hail from a colder part of the USA. Quick Tip: When you arrive you'll be tempted to drink too much and stay awake long past the point you should be in bed. Don't do that. If you push too hard too early it will take several days to recover. Moreover, as you note, there's lots of stuff to do in Bangkok away from the naughty boy scene. Great food. Crazy shopping. Lots of culture. You don't want to waste the daylight hours with a punishing hangover.

LE Meridien is nice, and so is the Silon Road area. But it's a bit distant from the "nightlife" areas. The conventional wisdom is that first time visitors should stay north or south of Sukhumvit Road, say, between Sois 2 & 20. (BRT Skytrain, Green Line, between the Chit Lom station and the Asok station.) Look at the forum for Bangkok Hotels and you'll find dozens upon dozens of reviews of lodging in that area.

There is no substitute for doing the reading in the forums. Go back at least six months. Pay attention to reports from Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy and Thermae. Plus the soapies and the oilies. I am old school, so I'm not wild about using online resources. Moreover, as an Indian man I think you're better off making the rounds in person because you'll be able to better gauge the interest of the girls and the mamasans. It's just easier to find somebody you click with face to face.

I am also an Indian, and currently in Bangkok. About to leave in few days. I can share some insights, can help.

First of all, if you have read this forum, then you must have read that there is some racism against Indian, well that is partially true. I was worried about it too before visiting, I also chatted about same with many girls from gogos, bar, smooci etc, and it turns out Indians have bad reputation because of some bald Indian fat oldies who keep on negotiating and drinking / harassing; My word of advice, don't do that. Out of some, this is the prime reason why Indians have bad repo against some girls (not everyone though). You should treat every girls good, don't try to do unnecessary negotiating, and then you will be good to go.

Alright, talking about my stay, I'm staying at Sofitel, if it fits your budget by all means its toally recommended. You get access to everything in night, Thermae cafe is just 50 m walk. No problem in bringing girls in, brought even 2 girls multiple times.

So I have been here for almost 10 days now, and have tried everything possible. I will try to cover in short points, the basic things which you can try.

1) Street freelancers.

Well pretty basic one, although sometime you can get a looker but mostly a no for me. I did pick up once, got lousy blowjob, so didn't bother to try next time.

Another escort site which you can try. I tried few from here, it was decent.

I used TF quite a lot in December.

Never saw anyone in BKK asking for 1500, but plenty in the 2000 - 3000 range. There are also lots asking around 5 k, but you can just ignore them unless they are real stunners and offer comprehensive services. One more thing about Thai Friendly. Searching. I was using ThaiFriendly on a browser on a Windows computer or with the Chrome browser on an Android tablet. TF works differently if you use the app, and if you use a browser other than Chrome on Android. Searching: You can search profiles for a keyword, like massage or freelance (most of the ladies on Tf that say they do massage are freelancers and do massage plus extras). Unfortunately, the search does not honor your location, so the results will be from all over Thailand. Since the city they have in their profile is listed, it is easy to find a lady in your city.

Then the first big flaw: after searching for say massage, you will get a page of photos and at the bottom you can click on 2, 3, 4, etc. To see more pages. But those buttons do not work properly. They take you out of the "search" results and back to your basic list.
