This is really horrific experience. I too had one such experience but did not give her money. I learnt few lessons and after that so far no such incidence, but one doesn't know when we can again encounter such incidence. Few pointers for happy mongering-.

1. Any one asking money upfront in the room is going to disappoint you, better send back her. Only Wg or pro scammer ask for money upfront. Also make it clear in chat.

2. Choose hotel with Key card access, that way third person can not come to your room without your permission to reception.

3. don't take decision of meeting anyone in hurry, chat them for days, if they are serious they will meet.

4. any one talking about sessions too is going to disappoint you.

I met a lot of Inde's,SP girls, spa girls, SA girls, to be frank, I haven't found them to be honest in anything. Most of them only look for the money, and try to extract maximum money from you with minimum effort.
