I don't live in a shack up at my mother-in-law's house although it is all farmland! Years now the large amount of land she owns has been divided up between my wife sisters and brothers. It isn't any of my business but from conversations each owns approximately 50 rai of land.

Twenty years after she first met me hasn't asked me for a baht, except to take care of her daughter and grandson which all these years I've kept my promise in good times and bad. I've on several occasions tried to upgrade the mother's home to make her more comfortable although she has many of the luxuries and amenities like A / see in the house and room she rarely if ever use them. On my yearly visit like last month over 40 see. She is in 80's sat outside in her lazy boy chair without even a fan for hours. You can ask if is she happy, who knows, but she possesses something to be admired something you can't ever obtain.

Here in Pattaya, Tin can! I don't need to get up on my soapbox and tick for tack but what I purchased put all under my wife and son's names the houses, land, restaurant, condo in Jomtien, Bang Saray, the number of bikes and cars, far from the life of suffering or tin can. I say whatever you are doing enjoy yourself while it lasts live is short living in your luxury rental alone and renting to find someone to talk to. Enjoy.

It's hot season, happens every F'ing year until the wet monsoons come.

Right now, I am in Koh Larn, and it's too hot to go to the beach.

I got an actual temp of 42 C and a feels like 45 C and it was too hot even in the pool. Ill pay the $4 to run my ac today. ID love to head to Bangkok, but that's like going from the frying pan into the fire.

When you live in Thailand you get used to it. You also become much wiser on what your body can tolerate and adjust your schedule accordingly. You also don't necessarily feel like you have to go out every single afternoon and become like a Thai girl sleeping all day and popping out after 7 pm.

Like others have said it depends where you are coming from. In January I came from Japan where it was abnormally cold at minus 10 Celsius. I arrived in Bangkok during a mini heat wave when it was 40 Celsius. It was a bit of a shock to the system standing in the hot sun at 1 pm for well over 30 minutes waiting in line for a viral restaurant.

BKK feels hotter than Pattaya because Pattaya has some wind being a beach.

Pattaya as advertised is HOT HOT, HOT AND HUMID AND HOT AND WET that is year-round weather there is NO 3 or 4 seasons. I just returned from up North Sukhothai, a very rural and isolated wife farm average of 40-45 daily and it is HOT no matter how you look at it. You wake up early and sleep early all one thinks about is showering and jamming ourselves into the A / see room. This is no breeze one walks out of the shade one feels like an egg being fried. With Songkran, the officials slow down the taps during the day so one has to learn a process to save in your bathroom large buckets of water so you can shower and use the bathroom by scooping. Can't even do laundry during the day not enough water.

I can imagine reports of Bangkok, 50 if true, back in Pattaya now yesterday aside from the bottleneck of traffic near Pattaya Nua, and Hwy 7, under-construction traffic is down from Thais they don't even want to go out! My cousin who lives and works in Las Vegas is here and he says it is hot and he knows hot LOL.

If it's not true, then how did german news and the weird indian reporter manage to convince so many Thai locals to say it's actually hot when that just can't logically happen in Thailand. Cause bad things don't happen in paradise. I refuse to believe this. I can understand if it happens while I'm there cause I'm just an unlucky fuck. But while I'm not there? I don't know dudes. Thailand is as close to a perfect country as I've ever come across. Sure, there's other perfect countries like Singapore, and the Scandinavian nations, but they're expensive as fuck. While Thailand is actually affordable.

Attn Newbies to Thailand: it is VERY freaking hot. A feels like figure of 124 degree F here in Siem, you can celcius it yourself.
