Agree, we don't know what happened as to what set off the events. The last report I read the 3 have admitted to the fight and has gotten a tongue lashing from police in charge of case. The spokemans has said unless a complaint is file they can't retain the 3 individual as of yet they haven't been able to locate them searching CCTV as to where they might have gone. If there is a guy in the hospital or ICU, I'm sure the keystone cops would have been able to figure that one out?

Reality these freelancers work for someone or a number of someone's but those names aren't being mentioned for reasons. From my experience these types of jobs when created normally comes from friends of already police in this district would be Soi 9, or Banglamung, someone has to endorse these jobs guys just can't decide one day we are going into the security business. That being said the things that always happen is they make a big show and tell scene this is all for tourist benefits they are safe but swept under the rug.

I totally agree but I do think the other tourist are afraid of their safety maybe some treats there way or maybe they don't want to come public to be enemy number one because Thailand is under some real heat with this. That's why I also think they are tryna take the heat off the subject to all the suddenly giving tourist now a 60 day free visa instead of 30 and so many more changes to the visas to bring in more people ( like a magic trick look at this hand of me doing good not this hand of me hiding the tricks ) and get the spotlight off the goons jumping tourists over 2800 bhatt I definitely find it weird we have no update on the guy in the icu yet I think he's dead and hope I really hope I'm wrong and he's okay but they ain't telling us for the backlash they will face they just want to push it under the rug until things die down people say they saw him walking back to the hotel but a YouTuber brought up a good point is that old footage of them just walking down the walking street before the incident. Honestly, the bars' only strategy is always to sell drinks. The revenue from the short time rooms won't pay the salaries of the girls. To me this strategy on Soi 6 has always been the same. The reason we hear more and more complaints these days is that business is not the same as before. There are less guys coming in buying drinks for the girls. Before, it was balanced out. The were enough guys buying lady drinks so the Cheap Charles could crack as normal. It's not that way now. The girl might be happy to get her ST fee, but she won't have a job for too long if she can't make her drink quota. These girls don't want to freelance for many obvious reasons. Therefore, not making a drink quota gets them kicked to the curb. I know many girls who told me about this. They bounce from bar to bar because of it. The bar needs to sell drinks to make money and pay salaries. This Soi 6 trend is not new and it's normal for all bars if they hire contract girls.

I had paid a lot of LD before. Today I don't do that anymore. Today I have to pay 150 baht for a small glass of sugar water. The little glass is then very quickly empty and the girl asks for a new drink. I used to ring the bell sometimes too. I don't do that anymore. When I'm horny I go on TF or flirt with someone in the supermarket or on the beach. No BF and no 150 baht sugar water.

If the bars change their mind and I can buy a girl a beer or another drink for a reasonable price, then I'll go to bars again. The bars used to be so full that you sometimes had to wait to get a seat. But 150 baht of sugar water won't fill a bar.

The bar operators are not really good business people.

I think it is all part of the Night Wish Group business strategy, they own a big chunk of the soi 6 bars. They focus on "drinks only" venues and their girls are instructed so.

Was the same when they ran 2-3 bars in pothole (blue, orange or whatever, maybe they still own them): drinks only, girls trained to lightly tease but not hands on by all means. Just a continuous flow of drinks, diluted for the girls. Good for the girls not willing to spread legs every second hour. Inspired by Japanese and Korean whisky lounges. Where customers spend endless hours with a bottle of whisky and the girls pouring in the glasses. No sex, just getting devastated and drunk patrons then in the streets.

Lots of bars on soi six are infamous for this, had this occur during my last trip in April when I was sitting with the same girl and had ordered her a ld and myself a new beer, got the updated bill and it had gone from 2 ld+1 beer to 5 ld+2 beer, I pointed out the mistake, the girl went to talk with the mamasan who offered a quick apology and it was fixed.

No point in causing a scene or being upset or aggressive like these guys but on the other hand don't be stupid and naive, these people aren't your friends.

This is the best way to handle this. You need to always be checking your bin so you can address any issues immediately. The problem with most guys is they get drunk and never check their bin. When it comes time to pay, they either forget or the mistake happened long before they decided to check bin. You have to address the mistake immediately. Always check your bin after each time you order. Never cause a big scene over a few baht. People get drunk and when that happens, we all lose our minds. LOL.

For me, the gents club are not only the best value for your buck, but the fun and mileage you have and get with the ladies is amazing. First of all, the gents clubs are very laid back. I go in and can play whatever music I want. It's like your friendly neighborhood bar. Secondly, the alcohol is cheap, even the lady drinks are on the lower side, 150 Baht. Third, the girls aren't pushy and they get naked after getting a few drinks. If you buy them a few wracks they will give you a BJ right there in the bar. Fourthly, the cost for ST is very affordable. If I am being short changed or overcharged, I let them know that and if they don't rectify it I let them know that I will not be returning. As you said, let your money do the talking.

I have only had a few instances of this anyways and it was only for a 100 THB one time and a few hundred THB the other, no big deal. But it's about being treated with respect.

Maybe she was on the phone with the other bar to send security over it's all speculation as we weren't getting to many details at the moment but maybe just maybe the girl got them to rack up a bill of lady drinks than refused to be bar fined (golden rule one drink rule always ask if she's open to be bar fined) maybe that's why the disagreement followed by one of the friend on his bill or maybe they padded his bill we can't say for sure but yes always just pay your bill and never go back if you were scammed lesson learnt but getting a beat down that brutal over 110 $ Canadian bucks (2800 bhatt) is not worth it and one article says he's in the ICU in serious condition with no more updates but than u saw a video of him getting up so who really knows. I personally thing hes in the hospital thats why the Thai police were quick to arrest the guards I think the bar should be held responsible for the guards actions they should've called the police not send in blood thirsty goons to brutal assaults someone that bad. My answer is "as long as I can remember" (and that is as long ago as 30 years and as recently as 6 years).

This is based on first-hand experience; that is, knowing the Thais who have visited Cowboy with me. Also, some upper middle / lower "high class" Khmer dudes. One held a Secretary position in the Thaksin Adminstration. (And, I don't mean a "clerk-typist. LOL) Another was a Thai whose father was the Thai Ambassador to a European country.) Another, an assistant professor at a well-known Thai uni. The Khmer were very successful entrepeneurs and government officials in Cambodia.

Generalizations aside, can be very difficult to really know whether a person is Thai, Khmer, or even Filipino. Even among those groups, they can have difficulty in identifying nationality just by appearance.

Now, in only one case did any of them barfine a "dancer". They were just curious about the scene and all thoroughly enjoyed the evenings. In the one case when one of the Thais did barfine, the mamasan explained that the girl could not be seen leaving with him. He was told that the girl could have a boyfriend in the area and it could make for a problem. She did not want to set a precedent. (Maybe the boyfriend would think she was going to get a lower payment. Ha ha ha) I should note that he did choose a "stunner"; what you might call "the pick of the litter". LOL.

In the handful of occasions of which I speak, not once were my Thai or Khmer friends refused entry or service or ignored by the girls at the biggest and "best" bars on Cowboy.

While I've long since put the guy you responded to on ignore due all the useless nonsense posted, he does have a point here I believe. You're friends were obviously upper class, and that would be obvious to the bar staff by their appearance and behaviour, no doubt resulting in the usual thai deference to another Thai of higher status. You say you went with other Thai guys too, but I suspect if your friends were motorbike taxi guys, or of similar stature, they'd be much less welcome.

One mamasan I fucked a few times (for free, when I was still young and handsome, after meeting here at a regular club the first time) said she did not want thai men inside her bar because they worried they could be undercover police, but I suspect a bigger part of the reason was the aforementioned "sex with farang for money doesn't count to the thai boyfriend".

For me it's hands down Jakarta right now and has been for years. Walk into Classic and you'll wonder why you haven't been going there for years. Jakarta is mainly point and shoot like Soi 6 with rooms on premise. Read the Jakarta forum.
