I have seen some pretty unattractive girls up in the clubs. At prices I don't understand why anyone would pay for them, let alone buy 40 drinks in order to have BBFS.

Viper an Agogo in Jomtien falls into that category. They charge 1500 bar fine; 800 for short time room; 3000 short time; 5000 long time. Maybe one or two girls qualified for that price range in my book. I find the ambiance of the KitCat Lounge Club appeals to me more. I am greeted and treated quite well by the girls and at least half of them I find attractive. Can you tell me the positives of Jomtien. I am not 45 but I don't like crazy busy. I like to relax as much as possible.

Less air pollution. Hotel or condo likely to be better value for money. Riding a motorbike less risky than in Pattaya.

Has no decent grocery store. No mall. No movie theater. Nightlife does not compare to Central Pattaya. Better selection of restaurants in Central Pattaya. 24/07/365 in Central Pattaya. But there is a good selection of GC's, one Agogo (with outrageous prices and the girls do not meet my beauty standards) and a fair number of beer bars. The is a billiards hall that has very attractive attendants. Massage places are plentiful and there is a "beach road" scene here but much smaller, low key and lower volume.

One of the worst parts for me in Jomtien is that is full of a certain type of Farang. The types you see making the news headlines for "behaving badly". Central Pattaya is much more diverse.

Personally I do not see any reason to stay in Jomtien unless you are on a vacation that is not about having fun and is more about relaxing and decompressing. For lack of a better word Jomtien is suburb of Pattaya with the same sleepy lifestyle you get in any other suburb in the developed world. When my friends come to town I get a hotel room in Central Pattaya. We party from our base there.

I always felt it's financially based. Expats retired here 10-20 years ago on a set pension. They retired thinking girls and drink prices would stay the same or the baht would remain weak. I would advise nothing because I never go to a bar and talk about BBFS CIP. I posted that I only mention it when I am making an offer to a Thai Friendly girl.
