So I have been out of the mongering game for a long time now. Met someone lovely and couldn't be happier to not monger. Still lurk on ISG though for spa reviews. Funnily enough, I come here to blacklist spas from my list as the risk of contracting HIV far outweigh any other factors. Found the credentials to my account while going through the old records. For what it's worth, I am putting out a short list of FRs from clean and mean spas in south Delhi. All of them boast of a minimum level of hygiene and comfort (welcoming lobbies, refreshments, decent toiletries and disposables etc).

1. Aroma Thai. Probably the best standalone spa in town. Fantastic massages from skilled therapists. Prime locations at Hauz Khas (best rooms though the steam and jacuzzi aren't functional), Select Citywalk (foot washing and the best therapists though you MUST book in advance) and DLF Promenade. Prices are steep, though you can get a prepaid package starting from Rs. 10000 which gives you about 25%+ extra value. All details are on their website. Absolutely zero extras here, and the spa is clinically hygienic.

2. Sawasdee, GK2 - Another first-rate luxury spa with massages and hygiene almost at Aroma Thai levels (98% Prime ground floor location in the GK2 M Block Market (the hub for luxe spas in NCR). Added bonus of a steam room. Prices are similar to Aroma, though a membership effectively reduces per massage (or scrub, which is brilliant) cost to under Rs. 2000. I believe that it also has a branch in Gurgaon which I haven't tried.

3. Escape Luxury Spa, GK2 - The brightest and most contemporary looking of the lot. About 95% as good as Aroma Thai. You can also avail yourself of the membership for sessions at Revive in the same market. Each session is actually timed for 60 minutes. Large rooms and bathrooms fitted with steamer. Jacuzzi usage is extra though. Extra services are offered politely towards the end of the massage, which you can turn down without any effect on the quality of the massage. I was able to get 11 nos. 60-min sessions (massage or scrub) at Rs. 17,000. There is also a branch at MG road, which I haven't tried.

4. Ayur Thai Spa. Have been to the branches in Safdarjung, GK1 and GK 2. GK 2 is the pick of the lot with the biggest rooms and a foot washing facility. It is about 80% as good as Aroma Thai at effectively half the prices (9 sessions for Rs. 10,000 or so). I like the decor, but the rooms and bathroom feel a bit cramped. Therapists can be great or average.

5. Blue Terra Spa, Connaught Place- Can give Aroma Thai a run for its money. I love their range of toiletries and massage products. However, it seems to be shut at the moment.

6. Midori Spa, Green Park. Was excellent but the experience dropped after they shifted the location from the end of the market to a new spot.
