Short report from a trip in August 2024:

- Travel Hotel did it for me twice (390 k FS +100 k tip), around 30 girls, last table from entrance had a few stunners of which I took one. Rooms are clean. You need "book" the package at the entrance and then tell the Mamasan that you have done so.

- Checked out Lokasari twice. Only spotted some girls whom I would never touch (looked like under age / drug addicts).

- Tinder is full of freelancers who ask you to pay for the trip into town (which might get more expensive due to traffic, blah, blah). I did this nevertheless for bareheaded GF experience. Girl (expectedly) was not as beautiful as in Tinder pics. Still enjoyed the time with her at my hotel and sent her home after the deed. Total damage same as in Travel (including her Grab bike), but you may well end up paying a lot more. Tinder also has a lot of girls who look for sugar daddies.

In which I have an on-site room and I can just go down (or up) to the terminal, find a girl I like, pay the 376 k IDR take out fee and then bring her back to my own personal hotel room to have my way with her for an hour.

The only difference being that Classic Terminal has what about 250 working girls (12 mamasans each with about 20 girls?) vs mansion has like 15 to 20 old hags that charge way more than 100 mil pesos (376 k equivalent over there).

Yes. Very much possible. Been there done that and no issues. As long as you book your room for 2. Classic front desk really doesn't care much as long as there isn't any issues raising from it such as aggressive behavior or fighting. However you may be unsuccessful to bring in a mama if you fancy one.

I tried several times to obtain the evisa but could not figure out how to pay. So arrived at CGK with no evisa and expected to wait one hour in the VOA line. It took about 8 minutes and I had my visa. Don't forget to follow up by scanning the QR code. You'll know what I mean when you arrive.

Then later I get a whatsapp from a "girl" that texted "Hi. Do you remember me?" Her whatsapp name is "Massage Traditional. " I replied "how did we meet?" She wrote back and said she saw my Tinder location was Jakarta. It must have been same scamming agency! So I blocked that a-hole.

I was in Jakarta from a Friday to a Tuesday. Just a first time visit to satisfy my curiosity. Here's a brief report on Days 3-5.

TINDER

Tinder in Jakarta works very well. It was my first time using Tinder so I bought a one week subscription. I received many unsolicited messages immediately upon activation.

Some girls would abruptly stop replying while you're engaged in back and forth messaging. I already was aware of this based on FRs here so it didn't bother me. Lots of filtering so the 3 girls I met sort of looked like their pics.

Be careful of catfish and girls who 1) immediately offer a massage or 2) immediately ask to whatsapp or 3) ask for your name and hotel room number.

EMPORIUM

Highly recommend. Girls are higher quality than Classic. Couldn't real differentiate between the 1. 2 and 1. 4 groups. Only went once. Saw 1 girl. Got her WA. She came over to Luminor for a sleepover. I paid 3 M because 1) she's a 9. 5 in my book and 2) I don't like to take advantage over the currency exchange. Bad karma.

CLASSIC

Only one visit. Glad I went. Deliberately arrived at 5. Saw girls in first floor getting hair and makeup in hotel salons.

Went to Terminal 5 on 5th FL since they open at 3 pm. Backpack searched. Got a wristband. Entered. Immediately engaged by aggressive mamasan. Told her I wanted to walk around. She gave me hissy fit. Walked around. Many sofas. Maybe 90+ girls. Only 10% were worthy to me.

Re-engaged hissy fit mamasan. She brought me a thin and very good looking girl. She asked if I'm interested in a 3-some. Fuck yeah I am, lady! Brought another girl. Cute enough and thin. I pointed upwards indicating lets go to the fuck room.

Done. They asked for tips. I said "you girls wanted me to finish early!" just to mess with them. They asked for 100 K each (US $6) so I acquiesced. Would I repeat? Yes. So cheap.

This is not strange, they want to make you pay multiple ATM fees. When the ATM is of a kind where you can swipe the card instead of feeding it inside machine, I don't mind so much. It only takes a 2-second power cut or a random malfunction for your card to be lost inside an ATM.

I don't know if this works in Indonesia, but what worked in Thailand 10-15 years ago or so, when Thailand too introduced a similar fee for using ATMs with foreign cards, was to go inside the bank itself and say you want to do a "cash advance" at the counter with your foreign credit / debit card. They'd then swipe your card on their local machine, and I think I had to present my passport too, and sign the copy they made of it at the counter.

The benefits of this was two-fold (or three if you include your fear of the ATM swallowing the card): 1) no ATM fee. 2) no withdrawal limit as far as I could tell, except the one your own bank imposes.

You can do this: insert card. Withdraw limit (whatever it is). Repeat transaction. Withdraw limit. Etc.

The 'limit' is per withdrawal, but you can make multiple withdrawals at the same visit.

I tried an ATM app off Google Play. It was a joke. Only listed 3 different banks and only the ones at the bank locations from what I could tell. Not showing stand alone ATMs.

Didn't try in Jakarta, but other places I've been google maps works ok. Just enter "ATM near me".

Does anyone have any recent updates on the bars in Blok M, particularly on Jalan Melawai and Jalan Falatehan? Is it worth staying in this area for a change? Most of the nightlife seems to be concentrated on the North side, including Kota Indah, Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta, Kelapa Gading. My favorites are New Royal, Starmoon, Kings Cross, Hotel Classic in these areas.

Onkly the dregs left in blok M and only 2 bars open well 3 if you count obamas, there empty most nights, Blok M has had its heyday unfortunatly.

Not sure which URL you used. Below is the official immigration site and they charge IDR 519,000. The eVisa was instantaneous at least in my case. When the payment transaction completed I got an email with the eVisa pdf file.
