Visa.

I tried several times to obtain the evisa but could not figure out how to pay. So arrived at CGK with no evisa and expected to wait one hour in the VOA line. It took about 8 minutes and I had my visa. Don't forget to follow up by scanning the QR code. You'll know what I mean when you arrive.

Grab / Taxi.

I read a recent post about finding Grab past the "Bluebird stand. " I had no idea what is Bluebird so I found a taxi stand outside. 360,000 to my hotel in Central. Not a bad price. I then realized I was at the Bluebird stand LOL.

Hotel.

I checked into the Luminor Pecengognongogngognognnananan about 2 hours from deplaning. I saw a massage services sign in the lobby. Checked into my room and showered and then called for massage.

I agree with you. Tip should be for service, and it is unfortunate if that is not the case. So the price is then in practice 1. 433 or 1. 633 at Emporivm now, depending on the girl, + plus whatever extra tip-on-tip you want to give.

IMO this is a bad thing, as it removes incentive for the girls to provide good service if they are now guaranteed a "tip" regardless of their service. In your case, with that one girl, I would probably have given a tip of zero. It would certainly have left a sour taste in my mouth if I had then been forced to pay her a tip of 200 k by management.

Here is a fun fact, Indonesia is quoting IDR1,500,000 for 5 years tourist evisa. That's literally $930 and if you break it down that's equivalent to applying for 33 evisa! Whomever came up with that idea. Must be on some sort of special pills.

Surprised to hear that. I've only been to Emporivm twice, both last week, but I did not see any indication that a tip is mandatory, and indeed it would suck if it now is. I'm surprised because:

1) Neither David, nor the mamsan I dealt with two days later, as David was not working, mentioned any tip.

2) The girl I went with, she asked me at the end how I wanted to give her her tip (LOL, who says I am going to give you a tip, honey? Via coupon, or cash). At first I had no idea what coupon meant, but she showed me a small slip of paper that had four options for "tipping for service" that you could tick: 100,000, 200,000, 500,000, 1000,000. And I did not notice any mention of it being mandatory either, so had service been bad I would have tipped nothing (and perhaps then found out it is mandatory at the counter later? Dunno).

As it was, I banged the girl twice without condom during our 90 minutes, so I guesstimated that a 500,000 should be a decent enough tip for that. Next time I, purely by coincidence, tipped 200,000 (happened to be the same chick). Service was good (the same), but only banged her twice.

This particular point I don't think there's any reason to blame the papasan / David for. I don't see why you had any more reason to assume the girls were 1. 2 M girls than 1. 4 M girls, so you should simply have asked IMO.
