As my travel date to land of the smiles nears, random questions have been popping into my mind. The latest is about lady drinks. I've got a few questions surrounding this topic. I know nothing is a given, but as a general rule, when you purchase a lady drink is there legit alcohol in it or is it just BS? Depends on the venue. Gogos like Windmill and Kink you will have a naked girl grind you and you can grope all you want and make out for a few minutes. Here's news for you: August and September are very quiet in Pattaya. Every year. Things start picking up in October, and by December, no one will be texting you.

For what it's worth, I still anticipate this happening, no one can predict when a crash will happen, but happen it will as all economic cycles are cyclical. I'm American, most Americans are now paycheck to paycheck. The US just cut interest rates which signals their concern over the economy and we are close to all out war in the middle east and Ukraine and America is at the center of both those wars. Shit can ugly out of nowhere and fast. And don't forget, markets started crashing on August 5th due to Japan and it's policy of zero interest. Once Japan decides to start raising interest rates, all economies will crash, August 5th is proof of that.

Enough economics, I spent a good portion of August and September in Pattaya and BKK. The girls in Pattaya were desperate and the girls I would meet would constantly text me to repeat, at a level I never experienced before. It's a sign of things to come in the future..

I wouldn't if I didn't have to, but I have had to leave my holiday until late this year and there is the bonus of extra time in Thailand due to Christmas and New Years Bank Holidays.

My guess for why last high season was packed and high tourists numbers was the pent up demand from people not being able to travel due to Covid. We're well over a year now since the world reopened so to speak and travel across the globe has seen record numbers. But I think that post Covid demand starts to fizzle soon and places like Thailand won't see as busy high seasons for a while.

Global recession incoming, people's savings from Covid and government stimulus checks are about exhausted. Saw a stat that almost half Americans only have $1,000 or less in savings. I think that is likely indicative of the rest of the world.

Pattaya currently is pretty dead, especially compared to this time last year. I took a walk down Soi Pothole the other night and no customer in sight but a crap ton of ladies working and hollering for handsome man to buy drink. Honestly the ladyboys were better looking than the ladies on Soi Pothole.

I get multiple massages a day and all the ladies complain about a lack of customers and how slow it is..

Well, High Season last year was so crowded, I bailed from Pattaya in early January and didn't come back for two months. And it was still crowded in late March.

There was no global recession. Plus, the US stock market is skyrocketing, so lots of people have disposable income.

I would look forward to another crowded High Season.

For example when I was a visitor: My food costs were all over the place. Insanely high for Farang food. Next to nothing for Thai Food.

Example: Ribeye from Australia - 890 THB; Khao Man Gai - 50 THB;.

Question is still on the table if anyone is consistently paying less than 1000 THB for Short Time. If not, should I increase my price point to 1200 THB and pay for Long Time?
