I've always had a similar question. Everywhere we see blame on the Koreans and Japanese increasing the prices. Look at the type of girls the Koreans and Japanese generally go for. They have a certain look. Koreans and Japanese wouldn't touch 80-90% of the "Farang" style girls. This is only from my extensive Walking Street gogo bar experience. The girls who get barfined are the SAME ones night in night out. There are MANY girls I have never seen barfined unless the customer is named Rob Jones.

For many years White culture dominated the world, a legacy of colonialism. As a result white skin was revered, especially in Asia. Now Korean and Japanese culture is ascending. This went along with the growth of the Tiger economies and the decline in the West. As the stock of White skin has fallen, there is a lot of angst amongst the singlet wearing beer bellied pensioners from Europe and America about how the Asians are "spoiling the market". White men need to get used to the fact that just having pale skin is no longer a ticket to free or unlimited low cost pussy in SEA. I don't know any manager Thai that gets paid weekly. It is usually monthly I will have to look at the add again. But you might have a point since ad is listed with other jobs. Although everything seem to be based on 7-10-15 contract until it can be confirm? I'm opened?

Prior to covid the Happy group, Happy, Pepprmint, Beach, Bacarra I knew all the Thai manager know that wasnt the case although majority were monthly contract then the amount listed was what it was thrown out to me then.

If that amount is a week there would be Doctors / Lawyers applying LOL, I know one of the mamasan at Peppermint former showgirl Barrara doesn't make that otherwise she wouldn't be begging me to buy her drinks LOL.

The pay for spreading one leg is on a different level different work rules there is positive and negatives to going legit.

So what you are saying is that there is a more supply now in those bars but higher prices despite that? The argument about the koreans would make sense if there was enough koreans for everybody, but there is not. Not on soi 6 and not in any other place. There is not enough koreans to keep all ladies busy. What happends is that the koreans go for the cutest girls and the rest get no customers or little off them when others get detered by the prices. Its exactly what has happened in gogo and Angeles city. This whole thing that is about high prices because koreans pay it really does not benefit the medium looking staff.

It's more like the higher prices are causing more girls to be attracted to Soi 6. Many do fail of course. The ones that are shy, fat, ugly, old. - but many others can make a ton of money if they play their cards right. The word spreads and more want to come.

There might not be Koreans for everyone but there are MUCH more Koreans now than before Covid. I was in a bar the other day having a few drinks with a girl. I bought her like 2-3 drinks in the 30 minutes we were together. And I noticed a Korean dude sitting along across the bar and giving me a bad look (the girl was all over me). Anyway I was about to leave and as soon as I went to pay my bill he immediately pulled the horn and also bought her a huge tower of 36 shots.

I don't consider myself a very cheap guy, I might even buy a rack if the girl deserves it, but this Korean was "worth" 8-10 times a customer like myself.

I am a considered a new poster here according to statements I have read just recently even though I have been posting here on a consistent basis for nearly 18 months. So please explain it to me. Because it looks like a bunch of wage slaves that have not put the work in to be able to pay for what they want criticizing individuals who have simply because they don't look like them. I'm not sure if I answered your questions. I believe we're on the same side. I always laugh when I hear a guy saying they don't like gogo bars. For me what's not to like. 100+ girls dancing in your face. But when they admit why they don't like gogo bars it's because they don't want to pay for the "best looking" girls. ST and LT for gogo bars have been the same since at least 2015. BF for Pattaya at least has gone up a tad because of tiered pricing in 2016. Lady drinks are out of control but all you really have to do is buy one. None if you're a "handsum man".

I will be the first to admit that 90% of the girls in the gogo bars are younger and more attractive than the girls I pull off of Thai Friendly even if they are young. But I pay 1000 - 1500 THB on average with no lady drinks and no bar fine. Now, I am not hating on Agogos or the guys who Bar Fine the girls from them. I just do me, they can do things as they choose. I just have yet to be able to justify the money it takes to take a girl out of Agogo. Don't get me wrong. I'll buy a bottle up in the place and ball like a mother fucking pro. That is not only. That is a damn good amount for the average Thai person. Remember the minimum wage is 300 baht per day. These bar folks are not getting rich. Most of them have not even finished high school. Now can you understand why chicks will accept 1200 baht LT. Some people come to pattaya and make 400 and 500 per day in normal jobs. I know a girl that works in a Russian restaurant making 400 per day. She said the Russians do not give tips. Most people would kill to get 1300 baht per day.

2 million baht per year to be a bar manager. Guess that's not bad for Pattaya cost of living. Not the best but manageable. Personally I'd go for Assistant bar manager for only 5000 baht per month less. Seems a lot less stressful for only 5000 baht per month less.

I am renewing my Thai visa today. That means I have to hand over my passport and supporting documents to a visa agency, for processing.

As a result, I won't have a passport for an indefinite period, and without a passport, I can't travel. No hotel stays, no airplane rides. Basically, I am stuck in my condo in Pattaya.

I will try to make the best of it, but High Season is coming, and many ladies on my rotation are busy with customers, or have customer boyfriends visiting.

I might have to hit some bars. Wish me luck.

There are 40 year olds (when I first met them) who don't work anymore. Either they are just too old, or sick, or dead. Some try to get by as housekeepers, some go back to Isaan to work rice. One problem they have is most have lost their sex drive, so boom-boom is hard for them.

The 30 year olds mostly haven't aged well. For one thing, their heads are rounder. Thai models have narrow heads, grandmas have round heads.

The 20 years are still okay, but cracks are showing, particularly for those who use yabba. They are beginning to show signs of grandma mode, even though they are young.

Lots of wear and tear for bargirls.

I thought I add some content here about prices. It was not long ago that 1000 baht was the norm on soi 6. Lets take 2017 and look at the thai CPI.

In 2017 January it was 98.15. In January 2024 its is 106.98. 107/98= 1. 09. So in generall almost a 10% price increase. In the same time the prices on soi 6 has increased with 100 %. But that is for tourists. Not for locals. It used to be cheaper in Pattaya but then they got more and more into the thing of having higher prices for tourists. So don't give me any of this bullshit about "don't expect to pay same as locals blah blah blah".

I add some pictures here to show what thais are paying for the same thing. I found them today.

For a Thai man to pay for sex in Pattaya is sad. Many bar girls pay for sex with a Thai man, one way or another. For a younger Thai man to have to pay rent in Pattaya is rare.
