That is true for a large percent, based on my experience.

It is common for Thai women to make an effort to love their Farang husband, but most fail.

If you want proof, go to the Darkside in Pattaya, and you will see thousands of Farangs hitting the bars because their Thai wife has told them that she cannot boom-boom any more. Of course, while the Farang is away at a bar, the Thai wife can see her kik, who lives down the road.

The greater the age difference in the couple, the greater the chances she's a money lady.

Getting back to this topic, I personally will not fuck a lady living with a Farang. I can't tell you how much self-control this requires, especially when the lady tells you "my Farang husband cannot boom-boom any more".

Sure there is a substantial segment of farang-thai relationship where money does not play a role, or at least it is not on top of the list of reasons the marriage. I would guess quite common among younger same-age couples as well as well-off educuated professional people who met in work circles.

But I agree with you in other segments money is if not the main factor, at least fairly high. Especially if age difference is high, or wealth / income difference is high. Even when it is the main factor, it may not be explicit, and even if it does not appear to be high, it may be more important in subtle implicit way as it looks. In this culture almost everything is more or less transactional, and if there is an opportunity to make it such, it will be. Even many ladies who say they love their husband, after talking them a while, they implicitly say that they actually love them because he is so good to her (buy house car and allowance no need to work) in money terms.

Odd it may be, however not uncommon at all at least in my experience. Conundrum is then whether it actually is odd if it is common.

If you end up spending enough time with girls who have sponsors (call them boyfriends or husbands if you like) to collect statistics, you will soon see the full spectrum of behaviours at both ends of the money trail.

Op's scenario is pretty common (call it fool sponsor. Girl open towards customer scenario). Guy is happily in love with his dream loyal thai girl and completely trusts her, thus not expecting to see anything but a face of the girl (if that), not asking to see the surrounding. The girl is completely open towards her side hustle (s) about her relationship with the guy, and does not even ask the guy to get out to talk in privacy.

You will see few permutations depending on the behaviour of the guy.

- being completely fool and trusting the girl in full.

- being paranoid and tracking the location of the phone of the girl and always wanting to see the place where she is at the call, driving the girl nuts.

- being aware of the situation that he is sponsoring a hooker and ok with it I. E not minding what the girl does while he not in Thailand. Probably being happy as he perceives her income here to have negative effect on his sponsorsip fees (though it is just a perception).

And the behaviour of the girl.

- completely open towards customer about the sponsor (s).

- completely denying existence of sponsor / BF / hb towards customer and obviously not willing to talk in presence of customer.

One of my current regulars (married but hb only spending 1-2 mo a year on holidays in Thailand) has the fool hb that is trusting her in full so that the lady can take the call pretty much anywhere, he only seeing her face. Have been on 2-3 wk trips with her and all good. Call in morning and evening. She insists either I or she gets out the room for the call though.

Another regular completely denies existence of sponsor / BF (though I know from other sources she has had at least 3 sponsors that could be classified as BF during the 3 years I have been seeing her, to my knowledge only one at a time), taking her to Europe too. Guys seemingly fools, though she got burnt by one seeing her in TF. She never leaves her room before the good night call with the BF.

Another one has multiple sponsors, who I think know she is freelancing while they are not in Thailand I. E kind of open sponsorship relationship. She is open about the multiple sponsors, though don't take calls from them while with me, just WA or line.

This is Pattaya, you see full spectrum of human behaviours here. What may look odd to someone, is compltely normal to someone else.
