Great advice. It's my first Thailand trip as well, but I'm not inexperienced with mongering. I'll just keep the cash in hotel's safe so that I don't blow it all hahaha. Take out 5-7 k, walk out. Easier that way I guess.
Since it's my first visit, I'm going to do a lot of touristy things as well, because hey, I have got the time. Thanks for the heads up on the travel insurance, already purchased a good cover. Emergency cash is sorted via ATM card, and another 20-30 k shouldn't break my back. Anywayy, we'll see. Who wants to go on vacation in Pattaya and worry about money?
My plan includes watching the 89 show, MPs on Soi Honey, Walking street / Soi 6 etc for Pattaya. I have a fair few other things planned for BKK. I'll be checking here often, so if you'd like to recommend any particular MP / Girl / Bar / Touristy thingy (apart from the ones you mentioned), please do, I'll check them out.

Now for your situation in Pattaya, 5 k baht per day is not enough to have a good time in my opinion for a guy on holiday. Secondly, you better have some reserve cash for emergencies. One hospital stay will cook your budget. I hope you have travel insurance to eliminate that danger too. I forgot to mention that in my original post. I would double my daily budget and reduce your stay to 5 days, but it is too late for that now. You would have had way more fun. That being said, if you watch your money and stay away from lady drinks you will be fine. Who wants to go on vacation in Pattaya and worry about money? Please take care of yourself and watch the funds. Especially, if it's your first time. Stick to gents clubs, beach road and FLs on Thai Friendly if you have the patience and keep your money safe in the hotel safe.

Your budget requirements seemed v high. 10 k / day after all bookings sounds a lot to me. I've planned for 5 k / day (total trip is 10 days). Let's see.

Great advice and its definitely helpful for not only this guy but all first timers / new comers. Hope its okay to add some more India specific tips here. As I think they might come in handy for this fella and any fellow Indians.
1. Get a Forex card in advance. They have a 225 baht per transaction charge but pretty much work like a regular ATM card. Get one with lower markup rates. Do not use your domestic debit card, some might work but markup charges are too much and do not take out cash using your credit card.
2. Book a cab in advance if you feel getting one from airport or outside is too much of a hassle, I prefer nam's cabs but there are tons of options.
3. Get some dollars in your pocket from India. There is a 20 k baht rule for tourists but one that is hardly or ever enforced but if its your first time outside of India and you look like a deer caught in the headlights, you don't want to be the unlucky odd man out. Also, you will get much better exchange rates for Dollars to baht compared to Rupees to Baht.
4. I prefer an e-sim to the physical ones so I don't have to keep my regular sim out, might be a bit expensive but worth hassle of not losing the original sim. Also different, mobile operators have different international roaming rules so check tht for yourself before leaving India.
4. Do not stare at WGs as if they are a display unit in some tv shop. Sounds rude but this is something I have seen my countrymen do and it really creeps everyone out. If you like someone, smile nod strike a conversation but ffs do not blankly stare!
5. Do not overplan your trip. Get a cab, check in, rest and then roam around and see what catches your fancy!

Monday was my last day in Pattaya, but my quandary was how long to spend in town before heading off to Bangkok for my work commitments (and some fun there too). Should I milk Pattaya for all it was worth or get a running start in the big city?
I did have some things to check off my list for Pattaya before heading out, first being a morning fuck. Pattaya visit a year on – Saturday night
I made a visit to Pattaya and Bangkok almost exactly a year ago, but the reports I wrote up ended up trapped on a laptop that had issues. Now that I've retrieved them I figured I would finally post these on the forum. They may be dated, but most of the places are still around and hopefully my experiences can be helpful and / or entertaining.
Work meetings in Bangkok gave me the chance to get back to Pattaya, where I visited a few months earlier. I lost a day and a half of fun thanks to a flight delay, so I ended up with two nights and two full days before I had to get to Bangkok, but I tried to maximize my fun in that time.
Arriving around 7 PM Saturday via the Cherry car service I arranged to pick me up at Suvarnabhumi (1000 Baht plus 100 tip), I could feel the strong weekend vibes as we navigated Pattaya's streets. I checked into Areca Lodge on Soi Diana; it was my first time staying at the place, and I thought it was excellent. Though I didn't use the pools the breakfast was good, I liked the hotel's overall look, and best of all the location was perfect for Soi Buakhao area activities or getting to Soi 6 or Walking Street via the Baht Bus.
My aim on this short trip was to mix favorites from my May visit with new places, so I started Saturday night on Soi Diamond off Walking Street at my favorite agogo from last time, whose lineup is renowned for its ladylike looks if not behavior. I entered not via the main entrance on Soi Diamond but through the courtyard of the adjacent Green View Hotel off the parallel soi (15?) on the other side (I seem to have taken the staff at the bar by surprise as I came in the back door). Taxis
From the bottom floor of the airport you can get a bus to jomtien for 150 baht!! A bolt to your hotel will be another 100 baht. Saves about 30 dollars =5 Lady drinks. Also don't miss the food court also on the bottom floor- similar to the one at terminal 21 where you put $$ on a card and scan it at the different vendors. Go to Cooters and buy Alice a drink she's a really fun Gal!!

Ok here goes. As a first time traveller and making Pattaya your first visit, it will be very overwhelming and the costs will probably be more than you have planned in your head. Therefore, come for a long weekend only. This means 4 days including travel time. Fly into Suvarnabhumi Airport, as it is a lot closer to Pattaya than Don Muang. Take a taxi from the normal taxi stand. It will cost about 1500 baht roughly. Stay in a hotel, such as Nine Blue Residence. It will be between 700 Baht-1200 baht per night. There is a promotion now for 700 Baht on booking dot com. You will need three nights. It's not right in the central area, so use bolt taxi. You can download the App. Each ride will normally be around 60-100 baht to the central area. After that, take the Baht bus for 10 baht to travel around the central area.
For food, there are plenty of Indian restaurants, especially on 2nd Road. On the opposite end of where central is, on the way to Paratumnak.
How to behave when meeting girls. First of all, dress nice and be well groomed. This means use deodorant, wear cologne, and try not to eat a lot of spicy Indian food before you come as that smell will come out your skin pours and many of the girls will be turned off. When talking to the girls, be polite and do research on prices before you come. That way, you won't need to waste time negotiating. Just make them an offer based on your research and let them take it or leave it. You will know what your budget it, so stick to it. make sure its realistic as per my guide though.
Where to meet girls for fun. I would not suggest meeting freelancers on Thai Friendly. You will waste too much precious time. And don't contact girls before you come. Those advance plans won't work out when you arrive. Meet girls on beach road, gentlemen clubs and bars in Tree Town, Soi Buakao, Soi Pothole, Myth bar complex, Las Vegas beer complex, and Soi Boomerang.
Now for prices:
Beach road freelancers usually start at 1000 Baht for ST. Maybe 700 baht if you are lucky. Take them to a short time room. Do not carry a lot of money with you. Just enough to pay them, pay for the ST room and enough to get you to and from your hotel. I am scared you will get ripped off. Most girls are ok, but some are not. Stay away from the girls who are not Thai as they will generally ask for a little more money and are not always trustworthy. Do not pay before. Pay after you fuck!
Next, beer bars. Beer bars are good places as they are very laid back. Customer drinks are around 60 Baht to 100 baht and lady drinks are 130-160 baht. Bar fine around 500 baht and ST is around 1000 baht. The ST room will be around 300 baht. Stay away from soi 6. You will be bombarded with lady drink requests and you will also be too overwhelmed. If you decide to go, stick to your budget.
Gents clubs are the best option for you. Drinks are all similar to the beer bars, but they have rooms above the bar. ST 1000 Baht, room 300-400 baht. Very relaxed atmosphere.
Massage places.
There are a bunch on Soi Bukao and then there is the Honey massage locations. Massage is all over the place. Normally you can get fucked for 1200-3000 baht depending on where you go. Do your research in the Pattaya threads by using the search function and search for massage Pattaya. You can also search for "Pattaya massage" to get recommendations by using the forum's search function.
Then go to walking street only 1 night. There are some great Indian clubs there. Just search as I do not go so I won't know the names. Stay away from the go go bars on walking street as you will blow through your entire trip budget in one night and some go go bars are racist. Grab a bottle for 3000 baht and find a freelancer to take. 2000 ST and 3000-5000 LT. Keep your valuables locked up in your hotel safe and don't pay until after you and her are finished fucking. DO NOT PAY BEFORE!
Now about money. How much should you bring to spend on food and ladies for a 4 day three night trip. Budget for 10,000 baht per day, so 40,000 baht. That's after your flight, hotel and transportation. Then keep 20,000 baht in reserve for emergencies. That means bring 60,000 Baht in total to spend. You do the conversion yourself to Indian currency. Exchange for 20,000 baht at the airport and exchange the rest at TT exchange in Pattaya. Keep your foreign ATM card and credit card locked in your hotel safe for emergencies. Do not get caught buying too many lady drinks or that will wipe your budget away in one day.
About your passport, keep it locked up in your hotel room safe. Take a photo of the photo page and the visa entry stamp from the airport page and keep it on your phone and then take a copy of the same photo page and visa entry stamp page from the airport and keep the photo copies in your pocket. if you find a photo shop, they will even laminate the copies for you for a cheap price.
Finally, you will fall in love with Pattaya and want to come back often. After you leave, plan your next trip straight away and start saving again. If you can afford it, book your next flight right after you get back. Even if it's far in advance. Then you can work towards it.
Now, all these others who have not helped you will now start to chime in and critique my advice. Ignore them! Just focus on positive things and plan your trip.
