Good to hear also that Grab Feel has been upgraded to taxis. I only used it on the bikes previously.

My experience on tinder was great on my 1st trip- 4 out of 4 dates but on my next trip, as you'the expect, with high hopes I was firing blanks and tbh a place like Jakarta where you can have a 3-some for 500 k the motivation to spend that much (or more) on one date who may or may not be up for action later may not make sense for someone who's there for a week or less. You might be wasting quite a lot of time as girls do flake out quite often or they would be saying that the location is far as invariably they would not live anywhere near central Jakarta then you get a sense of how enormous Jakarta is even if you book the Grab for them.

So in short you do get your fair share of horny women but many of them are not in shape, like a large %. Then the ones who are in good shape I'm sure will get a lot messages (though obviously Jakarta has a lot less visitors / tourists than other places), I find myself swiping left like 85%.

Also for those of you who like to bareback, but want to do so responsibly, I found doxycycline for 15 k rupiah per strip and each strip contains 10 capsules of doxycycline 100 MG.

I was running low on my doxy stash I brought with me from Thailand so I decided to get 3 strips (30 pills) for a grand total of 45 k rupiah.

This was inside the same building as the other Apotek I mentioned but you have to take the escalator up to the 2nd floor and there are 2 more Apotek up there and that is where I found the doxy because the first Apotek on the ground floor where they have the Sildenafil didn't have any doxy.

I also found out that Apotek is literally the word for pharmacy in Bahasa.

Since you are trying to one up me about saving 95 on some Viagra, LOL, I will one up you instead. The name of the pharmacy on the 2nd floor where they sell the 110 k rupiah Viagra is called Biotek.

I actually found it like 2 days after my post about the downstairs pharmacy that sells tgr same Viagra for 125 k but I forgot to make a second post about the 95 price difference.

I did mention the upstairs place in regard to doxycycline which they sell there for 15 k per 10 pack strip of 100 MG pills of doxycycline, so try harder to read the fucking forum LOL.

They also sell Acyclovir tablets for 50 k per box of 50 tablets 400 MG and acyclovir cream 5% for 5 k.

I have attached pictures of the building in which the pharmacy is located, the actual pharmacy showing the name clearly as biotek and the acyclovir.

I didn't bother going up to Terminal 5 or any of the other spas / clubs in the same complex after reading that rates for girls in those venues are much higher than at Terminal 2. Besides, there were more than enough to choose at Terminal 2 anyway.

Now one thing I found about Jakarta in general was that it's pretty low on tourist activities. My Grab already drove past the monument park area and I didn't feel I needed to dedicate any time to actually going there separately. I'm sure food at various neighbourhoods would have been a hoot but I didn't have time to figure out where and how to get to them. I did try the Joni Steak place near Classic and although the price was decent, I really didn't travel half way around the world for a western style middle of the road steak and potatoes dinner. I wanted Indonesian food and to my surprise, the free breakfast I got right at the downstairs cafe at Classic hotel was actually pretty decent. Even for breakfast they had lots of different choices and I sampled pretty well everything since most were Indonesian fare I never tried before.

As far as Raja Ampat, it's a four hour flight east from Jakarta to a little town called Sorong which itself is a dump. Less traffic than Jakarta but garbage all over the place and no tourist stuff at all. It's really a springboard for us scuba divers catching our liveaboard boats at the pier there or a boat transfer to an island based dive resort. Although the islands in Raja Ampat away from Sorong are unspoiled and gorgeous, there's no infrastructure developed for general tourism. It's certainly not Bali.

Your safety measures and your experience seem quite capable of mitigating risks. Like I said, I still bring girls on multiday sojourns, although not often since I prefer sleeping alone anyway. But occasionally, you still meet someone you want to be around for longer than an hour, so it's all good. I still don't give them a key, but since they're registered they can come upstairs and knock on the door. That's not a foolproof measure, though.

In early 2000's I stayed in a nice suite at an upscale Bangkok hotel. The day before my departure she came to my room when I wasn't there. She cleaned everything from the bathroom, including shampoo bottles and my used toothbrush. It was a very nicely appointed suite, so she stole some nice figurines, two small bookend elephants inlaid with some semi-precious stones (I presume), a pack of wonderful jasmine tea that I bought in China Town (that was a huge bummer because I wanted to bring it home but didn't have time to go back there) and a couple of travel books. And of course, she raided my minibar and helped herself to two bottles of wine with glasses.

BTW, don't presume that if you don't give her the key, you're safe. If she's smart, she can easily get the card at the front desk. Why not, she's a registered guest. For airbnb, just don't give her a key, that's it.

Since my original post kicked off a storm on this topic, I'd like to add. Sure there are dishonest, cheaters everywhere, but there are distinct cultural and risk differences between places like Jakarta, Indonesia, and Medellin, Colombia. I've visited Medellin and spent time with Colombian and Venezuelan girls from Parque Lleras. There, I prefer to stay at Hotel Dix in El Poblado, where Mr. John and the staff watch my back. They are dutiful about guest safety, ensuring every girl's ID is copied and call the room to check with you if everything is okay before they allow the girl to leave.

In Colombia, Brazil, and Vietnam, while the girls are alluring but they are also notorious, so I never give my key card in these locations. It saves a trip to the front desk if I accidentally lock myself out. I also ensure my room is girl-proofed by keeping my passport, laptop, valuables in the safe. In Jakarta, it's safe to take the bar girls to your hotel room the spend the night with, both the mamasan and bar management care about their reputation, they get IDs of the girl, customer, and the license plates of the Grab / Gojek that comes to pick up when leaving.
