I've read this forum for several years. There seems to be a difference in expectations that I do not quite understand. But I'm just a lame geriatic in Chiang Mai and according to some, don't know squat. Very likely, so I'm asking.

It seems to me that the general recommendation and behavior for bars is to go where the bars are, walk by them, stop in a few, maybe buy a lady a drink and chat, and if you connect with her, pay the bar fine and take her to your room for some fun. The interaction in the bar gives something of an idea whether the time spent together will be worthwhile.

For massage parlors, it seems that guys want to know exactly where to go and exactly who to see for a massage plus erotic fun. This is setting unrealistic expectations that are likely to not be met. Why should massage shops be approached differently than ladies in the bars?

If you are listening to music with a bargirl, rule #1 is don't play dinosaur music. Bargirls hate classic rock, with few exceptions, and they also don't like Motown type music. In fact, apart from some classics like "Zombie", they zone out on most Western music.

There's two major classifications of Isaan music. Molarm and Indy.

A little history.

I was in Pattaya during the big lockdown, when the bars were closed. I'm sorry, but business discussions about real estate in Pattaya are boring, especially if they are theoretical. I bought a condo to live in and to store my stuff when I travel. I used to rent before, and put my stuff in storage when I traveled, which was no fun.

As for discussions of making money, I started a company in my house in the US back in the day, and now it's a big company. So I don't work any more.

Or worry about buying condos to rent.
