Lots of bargirls in Pattaya would like to travel, but their customers don't want to leave Pattaya (they paid big bucks to come on holiday, why should they pay money to leave Pattaya? As an ex-pat, I like to get out of Pattaya once in a while.

Thai bargirls will travel alone, to go work in other countries, but that doesn't really count. One lady worked in Tokyo, but she worked room, and never saw Tokyo, all she saw was her room, and going to and from the airport. So, she went with me to Tokyo last year, despite it being Winter.

It's not legal in Thailand. Having said that, you can buy sex toys on the street in Thailand.

If you are bringing in one or two, and in the extremely rare chance that you are searched, they will confiscate your sex toys, and use them themselves.

Never had any of those problems. I have only done longtime twice in the 19 months I have been in Pattaya. The Pattaya I live in is completely different than the one you visit.

You are correct. For example, I see the ladies at my place, I rarely go to a bar, except maybe to pick up a lady. Very few times will I ring up a bar tab more than 3,000 baht, not counting the barfine. However, I may change that this year, so I get out more.

But if they have a boyfriend who they will miss very much if they are away. So, I take it slow, first see if they can do an allnighter, then 3 days or more. Right now, I have a lady who went for 6 days, no problem with her boyfriend, maybe she is good for more. Of course, when she comes home, she has to hand her earnings to him.

I have had 2 ladies who traveled with me who were incapacitated with grief over their boyfriends not being available.

It is common in Thai culture for women to give money to younger men.

Mothers are often supported by their daughters, but will give money to their sons. There is no age limit on the support. If an 80 year old mother has any cash, she will give it to her 50 year old son.

I know 40+ year old bar girls bringing their daughters to Pattaya to make enough money to support the mother.

If a bar girl has a younger Thai boyfriend in Pattaya, she will throw money him, same as if he were a son. Very common.

The beauty of my response is that I am writing from Pattaya Enjoying Pattaya. Have been posted up in Pattaya for 18 months now. I find it interesting that people are still in denial about that. I was all over Pattaya all day yesterday. During my trip along Beach Road on the Baht Bus, the bars were packed. Now I don't know where the people hang out that are saying there are no tourists in Pattaya or that they are here but they are not visiting the venues. Because what I saw (with my own eyes) along Beach Road yesterday was completely contrary to what others are reporting.

Pattaya is surely jammed now. The ladies I know aren't posting on Facebook, which means they are busy.

Farang bar owners are always claiming that there are no customers, which I translate to mean that not every seat in their bar is filled. Having said that, probably 50% of Farang owned bars in Pattaya are not going to have many customers, regardless of High Season. Bars outside of tourist areas only have ExPat customers, for example.
