I'm not sure if you've tried to purchase a Porsche or Ferrari in the past 10 years or so, but yes, sometimes you do have to pay more than MSRP, and how you do approach a salesman, or "woman" who has something you want, maybe coming in "hot" is the proper approach. I think that really is their relationship. I'm pretty new here so maybe I missed a lot, but when I first joined I was impressed with I Work In The Legal Profession's posts. I thought he was cool. I was going to ask him if he wanted to have a few drinks the next time I was in BKK.

SC was always a moron.

But for some reason, IWITLP wanted to be just like SC. He wanted to throw away his goodwill and annoy people and act the fool. So he apprenticed at SC's feet for a while. They even hung out, comparing notes I imagine.

But lately, it seems that SC takes his marching orders from IWITLP.

I had never interacted with SC, but a while ago I had a run in with IWITLP, and immediately SC started questioning me. So I can only surmise IWITLP ordered SC to go after me. Interesting dynamics.

Check out some of SubCmd's posts. He recently gave quite a list of places specifically for this. I have the same desire and will be checking a few out next month. Good luck and post a review when you find one.

Newton, if you were making an investment in the company NVDA then you did nothing wrong. Yes, you bought high, a lot of investors do that. It is part of the herd instinct to buy on the upside. But I am fairly confident that over the next 4 or 5 years your investment will pay off handsomely. In fact, you might want to add to your investment as the stock finds its support level ie invest in every dip. On the other hand, if this was a futures trade, then you fucked up and you can either take your loss now or hang in there as long as you can satisfy the margins requirements imposed on your position, but this is an extremely risky thing to do even though 9 out of 10 times it will work out. It is that 1 in 10 times event that will bankrupt you in the long run. I wish you good luck in either scenario.

It's going to take a while for me to dollar cost average my way down, but at this point, no other choice than to hold. I'm too chicken to trade on margin or mess around with options. It's just buying, holding and selling shares. Probably why I haven't made as much as I've wanted. I tell ya Axel, if I never sold any of my AAPL, or AMZN, or MSFT from 8 years ago, I'd be this much closer to my Thailand dream. Take it from a super old guy like me fellas, from etfs to reits, to buying and selling stock, from all I've seen, the best method to make money from the stock market seems to be just buying shares of a good company, like google or KO or something, and then just let it sit there for years and years. It's not flashy, it sure as hell ain't quick, but I woulda made at least 3 times more money than I did than trying to actively trade. I'm very tempted to try options trading, but luckily I'm just not smart enough to even begin to understand how calls or puts work. That just might be the thing that's saving me from losing the little money I have at all.

Christ on a stick, I hate my job so much, it's literally giving me nightmares, and I dread Mondays like it's the plague. The anxiety is killing me.
