If you were a normal Thai person with the brain and awareness of a westerner, you would see the politcal shit in the west far less of a problem that politics in Thailand.

Whether it is Thailand or any other 3rd world banana republic / kingdom, my advice to any mongers who just visiting the countries where you go fucking, would be try to stay maximally unaware of how the local politics and governance works. As someone been living here quite a while, I feel is especially true for Thailand as the more you understand it, the worse it make you feel if you think about it, and might negatively impact your trip. Sometimes I just think back time before living here and not knowing the local shit, was great times. But living here it is kind of hard to avoid getting to understand and follow the operation of the system. So better just enjoy the fruits and close your eyes and ears not to know how the fruits came to be what they are. Actually true visiting any country if the local politcal system is something that you are not a supporter of, let it be Russia, US or UK.

I think it is fair to say that Mr Putin has pretty well copied the Thai governance model, and there is also quite a bit in common how people think about thing in Russia and Thailand in many aspects, as well as certain behaviors Main differences are climate, and that Thailand does not have nukes nor major natural resources like Russia. Had they, I bet their behavior towards neighbors would not be much different.
