Posts: 1660I just came from El Centro 10 minutes ago. Centro is great for shopping. Especially, buying fruit and vegetables.

The place looks old and there is filth and crackheads and junkies all around there. For some people, it's not a big thing. I was just curious because I have entertained the idea of staying there for the experience.

Posts: 6423My problem with Centro hotels is the noise. I did not have that problem at Nutibarra but others such as Le Gran were quite problematic. How is Casa Real for noise?

Posts: 4349I've stayed there only one night when I was having some work done at my apartment. I saw roaches. I didn't see a lot of roaches and I only have one night's experience, so I would take that with a grain of salt.

Posts: 263Nutibara. Nice, not roach hotel
I do not consider it a roach hotel, no.
The upper floor room I stayed in was actually quite nice, see pictures at Booking.com, my room looked exactly like that.

Posts: 263Nutibara is in el centro, not Parque Lleras
The afternoon, I generally spend downtown (el centro) near Plaza Botero and as that was the case, plus I wanted to try out Hotel Nutibara, I stayed at the Nutibara. Nice older hotel.
Because the short time rooms are available for $12-15 k for 20-30 minutes, I usually just take them to one of those rooms. If I've been with one and know she's good, I took her to the Nutibara, where before 6 PM at least, there was no chica charge. I didn't ask, but should have, about the cost after 7 PM or whenever time the cutoff is, but even then it's supposed to be reasonable.
Now, that said, I have wandered Lleras on a Sunday afternoon last October and had quite a few good choices wandering around. Not nearly as many as after dark when ALL the girls come out, but there were more than a handful that were to my liking, plus fewer other customers, so the rates were good. Had a nice mocha complected one that I took back for 2+ hours to my hotel for only $200 k. Very nice service, she even fell asleep after we'd finished the deal, so sweet.
Anyway, I digress. Basically the Nutibara is a decently nice, very reasonably priced hotel right across the street from all the Botero craziness.
Enjoy!

Posts: 118Where did you pull from?
Just curious, where did you pull a chica from at that time of day? Just curious because I am going to be looking around that time as well. Wasn't sure if the ladies were out Parque Lleras yet.

Posts: 591My girl in crocoda says there a lot of problems. And even before the problem she told me I couldn't go anyplace on the street aside from the casino. You may have better luck if you don't look like me because I look pretty much like a gringo. Which granted I am with some of the guys on here are too.

Posts: 2125Hotel Casa Real (not to be confused with hotel calle real) is a cheap hotel in Centro located close to an exito and close enough to walk to Plaza Botero and Parque Berrio areas. Lots of good cheap restaurants nearby as well. I used to stay there before I got my apartment. At the time it was 28 k COP per night. Hotel is girl friendly and charges a small 6 k fee per guest.

Posts: 2125I hung out with Pokeris in Jakarta. We even went to the infamous train tracks where street hookers fuck in the shacks for $10. Unfortunately we got there too early to see the action, I guess it starts around 9 or 10 pm and we got there around 6 pm. He's a great dude to go exploring with tho, a fearless monger such as myself. In fact we hung out on several occasions in Jakarta ate street food at an ayam goreng street stall, I showed him Classic Terminal 5, we hit up the Kota Indah bars and Travel too. I can't imagine this medclubber guy doing anything like that, "afraid of his own shadow" is an accurate description.

Posts: 263Nutibara chica fee. Not sure
I was charged no fee, but it was around 6 PM. I remember hearing that they charge a fee after 6 or 7 PM, but I can't say how much it was since I only ever took girls to the room during the afternoon.

Would be interested in some of these fb groups. Seems like a better plan than getting ripped off on lleras. I'm heading to Medellin today.
