Posts: 1660If you go to and around Parque Lleras, the majority of gringos hanging out around there are probably mongers. Shouldn't be hard to go to a sports bar or any place where you see people drinking and meet other mongers.

Posts: 18160Not since everyone has access to the equipment (webcams or cell phone cams) and distribution (internet) these days. Amateur, homemade, and do it yourself porn has taken over.

Posts: 239There are many girls that do regular web cam work and only fans and some have quite big followings. Traditional 'porn' is not as big a market as live-video feeds and only fans are now. I've become quite familiar with this industry recently as one of my regular hookups is one with a big following (literally have had dudes recognize her from advertising or from online at restaurants in Poblado). She's also has had online customers who've taken trips down just to see her in person. But traditional 'porn star', I'm not sure that really exists as much any more.

Posts: 239I concur on San Peter; the small bar downstairs is mostly mongers, and some girls hang there too (not many, but some do). In Poblado there are a number of hotels that are all mongers too, but nothing like the old Hotel M or with a lobby gathering of guys like that. There is a new place in Laureles called CH Lofts that is all AirBnb rentals, also has a cool glass-floor rooftop restaurant, and they recently opened a basement bar / club that may or may not be a gathering place. But I haven't been there yet (plan to go next week to check it out). It, however, shows some promise. But honestly, nothing like the old Hotel M seems to have appeared yet, and it definitely shows a big opportunity for an entrepreneurial soul.

Posts: 1669San Peter Suites is ok but be prepared for all the street noise and music blasting from La 70. You can even hear it from the upper floors. Also it is only a stones throw away from the Exito which is convenient. Lot of chicas work out of the La 70 area in Laureles. It's a party strip with lots of bars, clubs, restaurants and shops. You can also catch a Chiva Rumba there for a few hours of fun with the locals. A metro station is not that far away.

One reasonable alternative would be to stay at the San Peter. It is in Laureles so if you can't speak any Spanish you might be reluctant to venture out of Poblado. There is a bar on the registration floor and I'm sure you would meet a lot of like minded individuals there.

Greetings all,
I am planing my next trip to Medellin since before the pandemic, I usually stayed at Medellin Plaza (La Mansion / El Castillo) because I loved being with other people who were into the same hobby, also, I don't have personal friends who are into the hobby so I always travel single, and it was a good place to meet other guys who would go out into the wilderness with you.
Anyway, since I travel alone and now I have no other place were I can join a hunting pack, how do you guys would approach my situation?
Also, do you guys know of a company that it's taking the mansion's place in the market? Is there somewere similar?
You help would be appreciated.

Posts: 1660This video popped up in my feed. The guy shows the usual suspects making it rain in a bar in Parque Lleras and also talks about how Provenza is like the old Lleras when locals would party there.

Posts: 4347I think there will be a lot less noise if you get a Nutibara room that looks out on the back side of the hotel.

Posts: 65I've stayed at the Nutibara a bunch of times. You'll occasionally see them treating for pests. I didn't see any roaches when I've stayed there. The higher up in the building you are the better off you are. The lower floors are definitely target a different clientele, more local. For some reason I got the impression that at one point you had outpatient recovery on some of the lower floors even. They're nice basic rooms.
The rooms I've stayed in were very loud. If you wanted to turn in early, you really couldn't with the music from the clubs below blasting. They shut off promptly at closing time though.
The area was on the rougher side, like on the edge of barely acceptable by my standards. Walking past panhandlers, homeless, and druggies while entering or exiting the hotel was pretty common place. I never felt terribly unsafe walking to or from the hotel, even from the nearby strip clubs well after midnight.
That all said, it's right in El Centro. I really enjoy the location personally and think that more than makes up for its downsides. If you like El Centro, the action, the clubs, and the nearby casas, it's a great hotel to stay in. If you're more of a Parque Lleras or Gustos type guy, I wouldn't recommend it.

Posts: 1660I just came from El Centro 10 minutes ago. Centro is great for shopping. Especially, buying fruit and vegetables.

The place looks old and there is filth and crackheads and junkies all around there. For some people, it's not a big thing. I was just curious because I have entertained the idea of staying there for the experience.
