I doubt there is any harm in starting PEP within 72 hours of the incident, you can consult internal medicine specialist. Only the side effects in some people can be severe and it can mess your gut for the duration of the treatment.

One of the reasons for the rise could be the domestic sex tourists from down south and smaller towns which are dry land. Also the guys who are earning quite a lot spend without discipline. Plenty of mallu mongering gangs who help their visitors in inflating prices. But you won't be reciprocated when you visit there because frankly the average local birds are not great there. So when they are starved for long periods of time they throw in their money for the experience. It is quite alarming at which mongering costs have gone up in Delhi-NCT last few years and now only unhygienic spas in places like Rajouri and Lajpat Nagar you get service under 2 k.

Nothing to do with common sense.
