Hello. I have a few questions re: Airbnb's. I am looking to make a reservation and would appreciate if anyone can help me here. I am a single traveler looking for a whole place for myself, not into the street scene at all. I prefer visiting bars / restaurants where one can 'see-before-one-buys'.

1. I am looking at listing's between Hotel Nacional - Av Paseo - Closer to the sea. Is this the right area to seek accommodation for bars / restaurants with ladies in a reasonable distance?

2. Is there any way to identify in the listing if the owner is OK with me bringing someone back? Most of the listing's I have seen in the Malecon / Vedado area state family accommodations etc. Not sure if there is term or the way a listing is written that holds the clue?

Highly appreciate any guidance any one can share.

The way I search Airbnb in Cuba or anywhere I travel really is by using the map feature. Zoom in on the area you want to stay. I recommend zooming in close on el capitolio because the closer you are to el capitolio the better. You will be able to walk to malecon, San raf, most tourist spots, etc. Make sure you filter your results to only include entire houses / apartments with A / see, kitchen and WiFi and offer self check-in with or without building staff. This should ensure you get a private spot without anyone babysitting you too much. If you want to be really in the mix then zoom in on San raf instead and search spots closest to there with the same criteria. Really you can sit in any bar or restaurant and once people realize you're a tourist they will gravitate towards you. Some attention wanted and some unwanted. If you see something you like anywhere just go say hola. If you don't speak much Spanish just say that. Save your WhatsApp QR code as a screenshot so you can have the chica add you and message you later for meetup, or if they don't have phone then you will have to close the deal then and there. Invite them to the casa for drinks. Stock your fridge with sodas and cervesas and whatever food / snacks you need. That way if you run out of money you won't starve. Because believe me once the money runs out the fun is over. Which is why I wouldn't recommend trips over 3-4 days unless you're a veteran.

Hi Nice comments and I agree Cuba is Cuba!

However have you been there lately ifso how is the atmosphere facing food shortages, electricty and mongering now?.

I've only visited Cuba one time so far and that was early January. From what I could see there weren't many tourists. I believe there has been a decline in tourism lately for them, less cruise ships etc. That decrease coupled with the increasing value of the USD vs the CUP means more demand for the USD / foreign currency- which is monger paradise. It's definitely a buyers market all you need to bring is your USD and your confidence. Open your mouth and say what you want because everything is for sale. The food shortages and electricity issues have plagued Cuba for decades and I can't really say if it has gotten better or worse.

Be par for the course there.

Rio for me was an entire day of sitting on a plane just to get there so I was already not in a good mood. Then when I get there it was like always some major soccer game going on. Soccer was like a religion over there non stop. It was like the only thing people would talk or care about. The problem I have though is that the girls there see so much traffic that they fuck you lazy like most working girls do that do it 9-5. Same problem I have with sosua and all the other mongering destinations I been. The girls and the locals try to squeeze you for every dime you have while providing minimum work or effort. Cuba the girls fuck you like you're the golden goose that they want all to themself.

I dunno about yall but I like feeling like the golden goose sometimes just for a couple days then back to the matrix LOL.

I have never had a problem with water because bottled purified water is readily available in most places. I even cook with it. Guys need to be smart about what they are doing.

Yea I rank Rio second. Worst was Sosua (don't plan on ever going back. One and done). Medellin in between. But yea I felt like a chick who was tired of her man hounding her for sex. It got to a point that it was getting annoying! I swear to God LOL. Yes I was getting annoyed of her constantly being all over me. She was possessed!

For real I can 100% say this. So far this year I been to Rio, Sosua, Havana, and Medellin. I can tell you Cuba was the only place that I still get flashbacks from. That girl rode me like she was tryna knock the Mario coins out my ass. I don't even give af about Brazil or Columbia anymore. They not even worth the long plane ride.

If you're that fragile, it's better you don't go. It's not for the delicate and I'm being serious. You need to be comfortable with discomfort.

Don't get me wrong. There are many normal travelers that go to Cuba and have a good time. Especially Canadian travelers and you can find somewhat comfort / luxury. But I do overall agree that you will eventually one way or the other run into discomfort. Especially if you are expecting a Mexico, Colombia or DR. The airbnb I had was fly as hell and had good modern amenities but outside was a bit rough. But I gained a strong immunity traveling to different developing countries and I've seen WORSE than Havana. Talking Cap Haitien, Haiti and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. But overall agreed.

This is great advice and I always brings some of my favs with me and also let the chicas cook and let them take extras home. Sadly many of the men won't get this as they come from places where masculinity is looked down upon and the agenda is to feminize men and make it normal for them to change their gender. Some of these guys don't even know how to boil water let alone try to cook something.

The girls will definitely raid your fridge before they leave LOL. I just keep sodas and cervesas for them. But As sexy as it is to watch a woman in the kitchen cooking for me I prefer to always do my own cooking. Been to tijuana Zona Norte a few times as well and the food is definitely first world quality. Which makes sense since we import so much of our food from there. Just buy bottled water for cheap anywhere you travel. I never been to Europe because I can't stand a long plane ride. My 3 favorite destinations for proximity and ease of mongering would be Mexico, DR, Cuba. I would add Medellin, but only as honorable mention due to distance and danger factor. I prefer to travel to places that have that X factor as well. In my experience so far:

DR has the best beaches / seafood (when you want to actually walk from your casa to the beach).

Cuba has the best sex (the girls fuck raw and primal and will do there best to give you the best fuck of your life. If you see an attractive woman on the street all you have to talk to her).

Mexico has the best food culture (tacos, fast food, anything you want. Your favorite American restaurant probably has Mexican cooks working in the back).

Hmm okay. Any advice on other locations then, where my stomach is at a lower risk? I'm in good shape otherwise, don't mind discomfort in other manners, but nothing ruins a vacation like having to sit on the toilet all day. Issue is I'd like to stay within a relatively short flight of the east coast USA, so I don't really want to go to Asia or anything. And I don't want it to be too expensive, since then I don't really see the point of going on vacation when I can just pay the same rates and go to somewhere in the USA without the hassle.

Perhaps the answer is there is no place like this? But hopefully someone here has some ideas. For example I was thinking maybe PR, but I hear there's no hobby scene over there at all, and the everything costs almost as much as mainland USA anyways.

You know you are soft when you are struggling to survive for a couple days in a place where children-elderly folks are relatively thriving everyday. Here is some free advice for the men out there. Learn how to cook. It always seems crazy to me that so many men out there don't have basic cooking skills, which directly equates to your survival skills. Don't get me wrong I can understand the argument that you are on vacation and don't want to cook. But what I definitely don't understand is telling yourself that you are forced to eat trash because you are not resourceful. If your treat Cuba like a camping trip and let go off your expectations then you will have fun. If you are a foodie like me and expect to find good food in Cuba then you will be sorely disappointed. If you are only going for a couple of days then put together a grocery list of stuff to bring with you and get a spot with an kitchen. You can bring frozen meat, minute rice packets, travel size container olive oil, pre-cooked bacon, bread, chocolate bars, etc. Then when you arrive at your casa you can buy local eggs and produce. After that you can afford to be selective in what you choose to eat from the locals as long as you feel comfortable with the sanitation.

Many of us are fortunate enough to live in countries where you can find virtually any food that you need for your dietary / storage needs. Cuba is an amazing opportunity as long as you are not going for the food.
