It's supposed to be 33 stories, partially constructed by The Chinese Railway Engineering #10 group. It's the only high-rise building in Bangkok that collapsed in the earthquake, even only partially constructed. Hi, I wanted to get some clarity from fellow forum members. I keep reading conflicting messages about providers refusing Indian and African descent gentlemen. I spent 10 days in the country back in August. Posted a detailed report on my trip here. Did 5 days in Pattaya and 5 in Bangkok. For background I am an early 30's white guy from NYC metro. Regarding your question about "brown" mongers, I will share my observations from my trip. Most of this pertains to Indian mongers, I'm not as sure how a black or African customer might be received.

In Pattaya Indian guys were stopped at the entrance to walking street gogo bars. I think most were not permitted to enter. I heard from some of these guys that bouncers apparently told them there was a 5 k baht entrance fee. I didn't have anything like this happen to me, just walked right into the gogo bars, no fee and no ID check. My hunch is that Indian guys will have an even harder time with P2 P in Pattaya than in Bangkok. The reason being that there are just a ton of Indians in Pattaya, and the girls / clubs tend to disfavor them as customers.

It's a similar story in Bangkok. I observed that near the entrance to nana plaza, many Indian guys would be stopped. Again, I had no issues and would just walk right into nana. But I saw other guys get stopped, questioned and they would have to show ID or maybe were even asked to pay an entrance fee. I did see a few Indian or "brown" guys inside the bars at Nana plaza. From speaking with the girls at Bangkok gogo bars, however, I had a few girls tell me that they will not get off the stage if an Indian guy buys them a drink.

Not trying to discourage or anyone or start any shit. Just my honest observations from the trip. I was surprised with how poorly Indian customers seemed to be treated by the bars / girls given how prevalent Indians are in Bangkok and Pattaya especially. Anyways, food for thought before you get on a plane and spend your time / money visiting Thailand.

EQ did rattled lot of things. First lot of folks staying in high rise were scared to go back. So they were all down standing in streets.

Another thing I realized after talking to most thais is that they do not get EQ's. So this was their first major experience and it was a strong one.

So because of this I saw hotel staff sitting out for 3-4 hours.

Major traffic jam as the stopped BTS and it was very congested with all traffic stuck. So bars that were open remained open but all MP's, nana and soi that open like 3 pmll till 8 pm decided to skip / stay closed.

My guess is people were unable to make it because of congestion and traffic so the establishments decided to close.
