There are a half dozen posts by me an others detailing this particular location. I recommend that you book you room through https://www.dancewatchers.com.
Ask for the deluxe cleaning package. They will even handle your transportation from BKK to Pattaya. Perfect for someone who needs their hand held and refuses to read.
Another personal favorite is: Flipper Lodge Hotel. The advantage of this place is tight security. They will take care of you as a newbie.
If you are a cheap mother fuck: Apex Pattaya Hotel. Good if you don't want to take a street ho to your fancy room.
I suggest that you put a little work in and read. If you need more handholding PM me.

Hoping some of you experts can help me. I've been to Bangkok a number of times but a newbie to Pattaya. I've just started watching some videos but still very much a newbie when it comes to Pattaya. Normally in Bangkok I go for gogo bars in nana or cowboy, and massages. I don't drink and have never really tried the bar scene like I've seen on the soi 6 videos. I could really use a hotel recommendation in Pattaya. Going in early May, mostly interested in the girls (of course). Looking to spend up to $150 a night, hoperfully walking distance to the night scene. Any help would be appreciated.

Posts: 1No Guests At Jomtein Thai Hotel
Just an FYI, you may have no guests at this hotel. They will charge you 800 BHT.
Its not mentioned on their website, but, then they tell you its a property policy.
They are quite brutal about the whole thing, standing in the way of your guest as you both try to enter the elevator.
Do not recommend this property. Imagine if you had family or freinds visiting and they want 800 BHT each. I was pissed and checked out the same day. So many other places to go.

Posts: 144Last year booked on their website for ฿2,800/ night. Full cancellation, pay at the hotel. Same dates this year same rate, on website, ฿4,300/ night. But what I'm really curious about is if there's a pricing strategy I should be aware of, I. E. , wait until the start of low season before booking or something like that.

Posts: 6734I checked. Last week in July. Used July 23-30. Agoda ฿2,577. Seems Normal. If you got Baraquda for under ฿1,300 baht in 2024 you got a steal.

I'm planning for a trip this summer for the last week of July. I was in Pattaya last summer at roughly the same time. I stayed at the Baraquda. When I checked rates today, I saw that rates were roughly 2 x what I paid last year. Have hotel rates gone up that much in a year, or am I trying to book too soon? Last year I booked in mid June for a late July trip.

Jomtien Thani Hotel
A hotel that is still under construction but is very close to being finished. I peeped it this morning while out running errands. This could be a four or five star hotel gentlemen. Just walking into the lobby and to the desk I was greeted by no less than five different employees who could all speak perfect English. On Soi 5 between Jomtien Beach Road and 2nd Road, it is located in a great spot. You can catch the Baht Bus to it off of either of the main streets I named above and it is close to walking distance of everything that I think is great in Jomtien. While still under construction they are offering some great deals on rooms. They call them their pre-construction specials.
Example
1500 THB / night for Regular room.
1700 THB / night for Deluxe Ocean View Room.
But this is a limited time offer. The above rates only apply until February 28,2025.
When a newbie has boots on the ground they know much more than a OG Vet about the present no matter how many years they claim to have spent in the Pattaya Glory Days ROTFLMO!

The downside of staying here though is, that you have to walk for about 8 minutes if you want to catch a baht bus at Beach Road.

Posts: 6734I'll add 2 hotels near Soi 6 on the other side of 2nd road. Most forget to search there so you'll find better rates. If you're on a budget Centara Pattaya Hotel about a 3 minute walk to Soi 6 at 40 USD. Altera Hotel and Residence 4 star hotel about a 4 minute walk at 70-80 USD but for a 45+ sqm room.

Anyone knows anything about the Discovery Beach hotel? It's right on Beach Road near soi 6/1. I am planning a trip there in April and I want to know if they are female friendly. If not a hotel near there that is. I don't want a condo or a Airbnb. I appreciate any help.
Thanks.

Posts: 983I don't know anything with less hassle than going to a Soi 6 bar and short timing a girl from the bar in the ST room above the bar. Just pay the bar for the room, take the girl up, do your thing, then bounce. The ST rate for the girl will be cheaper too because she never leaves the bar.

Posts: 6685Short Time Hotel near Soi 6
1. Is this to Bar Fine a girl off of Soi 6?
2. Then pay a for short time room?
3. Then pay the girl for short time?
Sorry, I don't got nothing for my fellow International Tricks on that one!

I stayed at the Amethyst. It is a very nice hotel, albeit a little pricey. It is near a lot of the action, if that is what you are looking for. Not much need for taxis or Bolt.
There is a no smoking policy but most rooms seemed to have a bakcony (mine had an ashtray on it). There is a marijuana store across the street from the hotel.
100 percent guest friendly without a fee. The girl needs to leave her ID at the reception and they call you when she picks it up to leave the hotel to be certain she isn't sneaking out with stolen goods.
In summary, the hotel was perfect for my needs.
