In Gensan, I spent another day playing on FaceBook Walker groups with essentially the same results. Prices were coming down but there was still the unspoken intent that they were coming to do as little as possible, as quickly as possible. There was also the hated tick list of what was and wasn't explicitly included. In the end, I decided that was enough and to move on to Davao.

A 4 hour bus ride and it was like night and day. Straight to my usual hotel in Poblacion, down from Avida. And if I'm way off base here, please go ahead and tell me to fuck off; I won't be offended. But the next time you get a girl into your bed, maybe ask to compensate her a little further to have her translate / negotiate on your behalf? Hell, you could even ask to hire a PL girls as a translator just for this purpose. I bet chicks would jump at the chance for 1 k, no?

No need to fuck off. 😜. It's a good suggestion for someone determined to make the Walkers option work.

However, it is yet another step in the process and the result is still girls with the attitudes shown in the screen shots that I attached.

I'm sure the Walkers would have been a good option for a resident or someone with a lot of time and patience.

Gensan has been good to see but to be honest, I'm going to bail soon. It's good to have seen but no need to return or make a special detour to get to'.

Another post to come but, in short, I haven't found Gensan terribly interesting and the fishing is much better elsewhere.

People complain about the work and fuck around to use apps but my FB Walker trial is on a whole new level. Maybe someone with a lot more patience and language skills would fare better but the effort vs reward vs cost for me was pretty low.

I've never been one to head straight to your typical spots like Makati or Angeles and camp there for my entire stay.

Work dictates certain time frames with me, especially in Manila. But I like to 'take off' and explore somewhere else after that's out of the way.

I spent a lot of time on FB Walker pages. I do mean A LOT. Lots of lookers giving the prices and attitudes mentioned earlier. A few broke local girls too but the language and their timidity towards foreigners was a real obstacle. I struggled to understand the abbreviations, slang, spanglish, etc and 99% of those that I managed to persist with wanted nothing at all to do with me when it was obvious I was a foreigner.

The next morning, I managed to crack the code. Scammers must be very real for these girls because 1000 questions and photo proofs later an agreement was set. 2 shots for 3 k. Yes, I over paid but I wanted to see how the whole Walker thing worked. Negotiations took forever but once agreed she arrived in a few minutes. Definitely a stranger to foreigners, she literally stood in the corner until activities commenced. Against my better judgement, it was money down before pants down and then straight to business. She was tall and a nice body but her skin was scarred and marked as you see on many provincial girls. Two whirl wind sessions and she was gone. I wouldn't call it clock watching but she is definitely use to getting the guy off and being shown the door. All the boxes were ticked but it was very functional rather than good fun.

The next morning, I had a few spare hours due to my delayed flight so I was determined to get the whole Sim card situation sorted. After all, how hard could it really be. Turns out that while the app was a dead loss, the dot com site allowed a work around. I just keyed in any bogus info that was nearly correct and it worked. My permanent address was my hotel street address. Barangay etc was just a random selection from the drop down box. Proof of residency was a photo of my Agoda check-in slip. Departure date was a random flight pdf I had saved. I think as long as all questions are answered, it works, regardless of the accuracy of the actual answers.

The drive to the airport, on the holiday Friday, was a ghost town. 15 minutes and we were there. I went straight to Immigration, said that I arrived last night when the office was closed, and could I extend my visa today. No one was terribly concerned about me being a day late. 5 minutes and P3170 later, I had a 59 day visa. Not sure why but it's gone up from P3050 that I was charged last time. Perhaps the P120 was a holiday surcharge or a price rise. I don't know and don't care. Another change is that not only do you get the paper copy extension but it's also physically stamped into the passport. I'm now a firm convert to extending visas at the airport vs at regional or head offices. It's just so easy.

The flight to Gensan was packed but uneventful. As mentioned in the other post, Grab upon arrival was a total loss but P500 found a hire car direct to the Red Doorz KCC. With enough money and contacts anything can be organised. However, I don't know of any islands that have semi permanent structures in place like those that you speak of.

I'm guessing your friend has muddled / exaggerated the habit of the filthy rich of hiring groups of girls to act as eye candy or 'Pretties' at parties, events etc. Some of these girls will blur the line between model and hooker for the right price. Of course, groups of hard core hookers can also be brought in.

Most experienced guys are aware that it's not wise to multitask wives, girl friends, hookers and household help. Keep them very distinct.
