There's a couple of pitfalls I would watch for. She will probably ask for money before you meet her. After all, she needs to get her hair and nails done, and may need some new clothes. You will probably be disappointed by her appearance when you do meet in person. There are some attractive 35 year-olds, but those are usually already being taken care of by a sugar daddy. I hope I'm wrong, and she is the real deal for you.

I think the chance of getting a fiance visa is very low these days with the US not wanting people like that, and you can count on her finding out about spousal support and property rights if she does get to the US.

Five years is about right. They congealed into a squad just before the pandemic. It's true that they are not popular with many groups other than themselves, that includes other foreigners, the girls, the police, and random passersby. There are a few unappealing girls who hover around them because they have no other options for spare change. I avoid them so actively I did not know the military connection. I mentioned that generally the lines to enter Medellin are long and 1-2 hours are the norm. Flying into Bogota connecting to Medellin could be a work around. There are some airlines flying into Bogota first with a transfer to Medellin and the lines there appear to be shorter.

After that long line, I am usually tired and just want to take that white taxi into town for 120 mil. Some say to take the bus to save money but that is more time and effort and after waiting in line for 2 hours, I just want to get to my place as soon as possible.

There is Wi-Fi in the airport so you can surf the Internet while waiting in line. I don't know if you can buy a SIM card or data at the airport. I usually buy data later that day or the next day.

First day I usually hit the supermarket to stock up on stuff for my hotel / Abnb. Girls like drinks and snacks when they get to your place.

I will be here for a month or so and am open to meeting others but I am an older gentlemen and am more compatible with men in 40 to 70 age range and not younger bros in their 20's who like to party at nightclubs. I am no expert and I can barely speak Spanish but I have learned a few things over the past 3 years visiting Medellin.

I still enjoy visiting Medellin and don't compare it to the way it was 10 years ago because I wasn't here back in the day. I only know that way it is now, and I can accept the good and the bad of the way it is now. You definitely always have to be on your guard when visiting Colombia. So far I haven't had any problems but I am still on alert when I am here.

How are the immigration lines at night? I arrived in the afternoon yesterday and it was 2 hours long which is a bit too much for me.
