I 1st visited PC 15 years ago. Before I was a passport BRO. I wanted to get some strange. They were asking $150 short time in the casas. The chica were fine but so are most DR chicas. I went to Steves bar and picked a hot morena who became my DR squeeze for 2 years. The sex was some of the best I ever had. I paid her like 60 bucks for that 1st shot plus 20 for short time hotel.

Mother fucks posting about their glory days exploits make no sense to me.

In the DR I have been to Santo Domingo, Boca Chica, Juan Dolio, San Pedro, La Romana, Puerto Plata, Sosua and Cabarete on several different occasions. Some people rave about Punta Cana but I will never go to that tourist trap. I will eventually return to the DR but I have my eyes on Santiago which I have never been before. I am starting to find myself liking places that have less Gringos and more locals. When a chica starts talking "Dollars" it's a turn off. I always deal in the local currency where ever I go.

At least you are well traveled in the Dominican Republic. Punta Cana is far from being a tourist trap. It is the ONLY place on the island where business is conducted the way is should and service is provided at western standards.

I've never understood the need to to go native. I've done this in the Dominican Republic and I don't like it. You need to feel special because you are not like them. The Dominican Republic is nation where everyone in the country is a Dominican and no matter how long you are there they will NEVER accept you. But there are many who think the way they are treated is due to their personality. Far from it. It is and always will be about the money you are throwing around. Try doing something that is actually productive in the Dominican Republic other than sightseeing or hiring prostitutes. It will change your perspective.

Forget the "Played Out" DR. Try the direct flight from Bogota to Havana after a good time in Colombia which beats the DR hands down!

The first city that I visited in the DR was San Pedro many years ago. I enjoyed that visit and also went to the beach at Juan Dolio. It was during Independence celebrations and the scene was very lively and fun. Drank a lot of Presidente and Brugal. I stayed with a local in town that I had met through a friend when I visited Puerto Rico who had relatives in the DR. That was one of my best experiences there. No tourists, no Gringos, just the raw Dominican Republic. The moto concho was a cheap way to get around town if you like that thrill. LOL. Subsequently I returned for more visits around the country. I think that the tourist scenes started to turn me off in certain areas, especially in Sosua which I visited twice. I find that there are a lot of Ghetto Hip Hop types that have over run that place. Not my thing but when I return to the DR I will not be seen around Gringos if I can help it. I'm going to explore off the beaten path. I hope that Santiago is a great place.

Unless you treat the chicas like shit, then you should never feel bad or embarrassed about what you do for them. I posted part of this story on the Cartegena board, but left of bits because I didn't want to be called a sucker, but when I was in Cartagena last year, I spent a lot of time with a newbie who was a Colombian hippee (people at my Airbnb called her Senorita Loca). When we first met we immediately clicked. We hung out all day had dinner, went dancing until the bars closed. I kept asking her what she wanted and her answer was always whatever you feel right giving me. My thought was, she's running a scam. After she spent the night, I again asked her what she wanted and she said her daughter's birthday was coming up and she really wanted a bicycle. She actually showed me the bicycle and it was like $60. So, I gave her what her I felt another chica would ask for spending the night and having sex with me several times without a condom (after about the third time, it no longer made sense, I'm fixed and if she had an std I would have caught it anyway). Anyway, a few days later I took her to the store and we got her kid the bike and I paid for it. I didn't think much of it, but a couple of weeks after I got home she sent me a video of her daughter riding the bike and thanking me for helping her mother buy it.

It was $60. Filling up my gas tank in Seattle is $70 bucks. A cheap solo dinner alone with drinks is $50 and I eat out every night. $60 meant basically nothing to me but someone's kid had a good birthday because of it. As long as it doesn't hurt me, I'll do what I can. I encourage you to do the same. You can be a giver as well as a taker. Shit, the men in my family all die when they're young. I'm 57, my kids are successful, so they don't need it and I can't take it with me. If it makes someone's life better that is willing to hold still while I pound away on her let her have it.

I have a long list of stories that would mirror this also while I was in the Dominican Republic. Last year end holiday of 2004 I sent my Business Partner in Colombia 30 USD in instructed her to buy a remote controlled truck for her son. I got a voice message from her son thanking me for it and a picture of him holding his gift with a big smile.

Maybe the reason you are not reading what you want to read in the Sosua Reports thread is because there are not enough people having a good time to bother to write about it. Just be happy like Oakie proffers to us that millions upon tens of millions upon billions of individuals visit Sosua each year and leave happy.
