In other News the girls in Pattaya are still old and ugly. I snagged a 20 year old from beach road the other night with zero English for 1,000 baht which at the current crappy exchange rate is $30. So with an average local salary of about $461 a month this is 6. 5% so that means a streetwalker hooker in the USA where we make $5,000 a month should be.

I enjoy reading many of the posts on this forum, but some are just pure nonsense. I mean some really stupid nonsense. But then I was wondering, what if the guys I thought were spouting BS are right, and I've been wrong? Take for instance the idea that you can't talk about Pattaya unless you've been there, or you are there. Or Thailand itself for that matter. How can these guys post about Thailand if they're never been there, or are not there now? Maybe the people who I previously thought were ass clowns are actually correct, and you can only talk about things you've directly experienced. This evening I was watching a youtube video of Carl Sagan talking about the universe. I've watched a lot of his videos, but this evening I had a bad feeling while watching. That m--- f--k has never been to outer space. How can he talk about it if he's never been there? What the m--- f--k? Have I been had all my life? Einstein wrote about the speed of light. His most famous equation is based on it. But the m--- f--k has never traveled at the speed of light. He's got to be full of BS. He's never been there. Did WWI actually happen? There's no one alive to say, and based on the above, no on else can talk about it. They've never been there. What about slavery? Oh man, this is a rabbit hole.

I will beg to differ with that. I have lived in Thailand for 16 years and lived in Rio 5 years before that. I speak fluent Portuguese and good Thai. The average Joe is going to have a much better time in Thailand only being able to speak English, than he will being in Brazil not being able to speak Portuguese.

For me if you examine the difference of experience between both the OPs it is very obvious whom I would prefer to take advice from. If you want to learn how to fly a airplane:

1. Do you want to learn from an individual that actually knows how to fly?'.

2. Do you want to learn from an individual that has studied how to fly on YouTube and flown simulations using Flight Simulator on his X-Box?

So simple. Answer that question and you will have no need to run down a rabbit hole. Answer that question and you will determine if you have common sense or you are just full of male bovine excrement.
