This was my first visit to Kira Kira in Yokohama and my second soapland experience on my trip. Based on the many good reviews I was persuaded to give them a try. Thanks for speaking about your negative experience, it is very important. For many of us, we run into experiences like this and it feels like a numbers game. I had a dud at Kira Kira and I think she was Jun, also no chemistry. Previously, I had Monet and another girl who were really great attitude. So I'll lay out one way I might do what I've suggested so far. Let's say you get the earliest appointment you wanted, then you still want to show up Ishikawacho early and maybe drop in a cafe 5-15 minutes. You can actually show up to Kira Kira 5-30 minutes early no problem. There is a customer waiting area with individual tables just like a coffee shop. People browse on their phones, there are drinks and bathroom, just relax. Whereas if your booking is later than you want by 1-2 hours then really enjoy your time, then go to a cafe, ramen (Ichiran ramen), burger joint (Mos burger) within walking distance. If it's lunch time or after there is a 'perfect beer' stand I went to, the guy takes it seriously and it was a legit good beer. As you noted, you don't want to be stressed. The good thing is Sakuragicho station is about 12 minute walk and by wandering around aimlessly there are 100s of delicious places. About public transportation in the Tokyo area, it really depends on your starting station. I'm going to list some examples to illustrate a point about trains. Shibuya to Yokohama is 25-40 minutes, Ueno to Yokohama is 30-50 minutes. Ueno to Shibuya is 35 to 45 minutes. Now you would not want to go Ueno -> Shibuya -> Yokohama but if you did, that would suddenly balloon the time to 60-85 minutes. But that example illustrates a common problem if you start at a smaller station that needs a connecting transfer - it takes way longer. I actually always stay Shibuya or Shinjuku for that reason, but I know that's not always possible. Hotels elsewhere are much cheaper of course. The trade-off though is going to be time. Time walking and using trains.

The train example might be better explained to Americans using a plane example. Flying from San Francisco or Los Angeles to Japan is about 11 hours. "Flying" from OC or Santa Barbra to Japan technically could be 16 to 30 hours depending on how dumb the flight plan is. Of course, the correct route is to take a shuttle to LAX and fly direct from Los Angeles only. In this example, if you were a tourist visiting the USA you may be tempted to stay in Santa Barbara or OC but have to be aware of this transportation problem. Think of Los Angeles as Shinjuku or Shibuya station, as a tourist you want your hotel to be there if possible.

Maybe I was still fluster from rushing to make my appointment, but I was feeling very anxious when I meet Rika. When it comes to meeting new girls, I always feels anxious but Rika's costume made me feel uneasy but, I tried to get that out of my mind. I was confused by her costume. At Shibuya Galaxy, I ranked the 8 girls as: S-, A+, A+, B, B, B, C, C = B+ average. ATMs versus Japan new bills 2024
Japan switched over to new bills in 2024. As a result, many ATM machines were replaced. Many ATMs only give out 10k bills ($69) now when previously they could give any amount. It means at a 138 exchange rate your $500 limit might really be a 60k limit since you can't make it to 70k. Most importantly, every 711 ATM used to be international, but this trip I could not use them. I could use the Family Mart ATMs instead, which had 'international' labeled. See attached images for an example ATM. Also, the ATMs now had their own 50k limit regardless of your bank (you can do 2 transactions though). Not all ATMs are like this, but the switchover caused it to be common.

ATM, cash, cash exchange
An ATM will ask you three options: Credit, Checking, Saving. With my bank card, I always want to pick Checking (Savings does not work for me). If I use a credit card for a cash advance, I select Credit. It is up to your financial institution but my limit was 60k for bank, 30k for credit cash advance. Resets after 24 hours. Make sure if you need Credit that you have your PIN set, many credit cards will not allow you to set it online for safety reasons (they will mail you a PIN, then you can use that to set your new PIN).

For large sums like $5K, I would simply bring that cash and convert it at the airport right after exiting customs. Narita and Haneda have an exchange just outside customs and it is the best rate in the country. It is actually better than an ATM after fees. Note that online currency exchange rates always publish the 'mid' rate which nobody actually gets. The Buy/Sell rate is +/- 2.5% typically, and the Japanese airport exchange will give you exactly that which is unusual. The US airport will not!

For example if the mid rate is 142, then the Buy Yen rate will be 138.5. You will not get this rate once you leave the airport. The airport exchange overhead is 2.5%, an ATM for me was 3.5% (due to fees), and Travelex outside the airport was 5%. It is not too much a difference. You can bring about $7K cash into Japan without declaring it (it is legal to bring more, you just have to declare it at customs). There are pros and cons. Credit card works perfectly well at many places in Japan, but not all. And for any adult service, there is usually a special 10% extra fee for cc usage.

Cash advance works different than a regular credit card transaction. Interest accrues immediately, so just pay it off a week later and it's not much. It is convenient. Do not forget to pay off your whole balance! Otherwise your payment might go towards regular CC purchases instead of the cash advance, which will accrue interest. A few days of interest is nothing - they are making money off of people who don't quickly pay off their balance.

How to clear/save Inbox
Your inbox/outbox has a max 200 message limit combined (Example: 110 inbox + 90 outbox = max capacity reached)

First, to see your mailbox count click on Notifications -> Inbox. Scroll to the bottom. For example, you might see "Inbox contains 96 messages. You have 187 messages stored, of a total 200 allowed. (Empty Folder)"

A) If you just want to clear inbox+outbox, then hit 'Empty Folder'. Done

B) If you want to download inbox and outbox into two separate files: First, near the top right of your inbox click on the checkbox to select all. Note that if I have 96 messages, there are TWO pages and I then need to click on page 2 and then click on the upper right checkbox again to select the rest. Scroll down to the bottom and there is a dropdown that should now say 'Selected messages (96)' meaning you have every inbox message selected. Click on the drop box. You might choose 'download as CSV' and click Proceed to execute the command. It will download. Next, you can delete your current selection by selecting 'Delete' and then hitting Proceed to execute the command. Note that if you abort at any step, those messages are still selected in the system. Finally, repeat this process for outbox.

C) If you want the ultimate solution of downloading inbox AND outbox together, and then merging it into your master spreadsheet of all messages ever. This lets you remember or look up messages from the past. You basically start with the steps in B, then take that file and merge it with your previous spreadsheet. I recommend Libre Calc which is 100% free. It is possible to select everything and sort chronologically by selecting everything and clicking the 'Sort Descending' button. It is a button with a Z over an A and a down arrow.

This same alley takes you to TAE (#1 budget DH) and Tora no Ana (Aika). Each has pros and cons and I would actually recommend both TAE and Gingira depending on your mood.

Note that TAE is based in Shibuya and you can walk in for incall which is slightly cheaper. Their shop can be hard to find so you must read their website to access it, don't rely on google maps alone.

Closing: As I mentioned, I tried several other DH shops. Gingira and Arigatou for example. I liked Gingira the most because they had the hottest girls, but Tokyo Amateur Escorts was cheaper and easier to repeat on the budget. Sometimes the lower tiered girls take a smaller tip or allow more. So I would use both. Arigatou was wonderful too for their main girl who is JAV, she is the real deal but her service is subdued. Super cute though so I didn't care. I can speak Japanese which helped, and by the end she was simling and in a very good mood with me. I heard others did not get that, so it is ymmv.

True to their concept, every girl I saw appeared to be 20-25 years old. However, note there are fees and tax on so you will never get the base 17k rate. For example the 22k outcall rate for 65 mins ends up almost 28k ($193) after fees and taxes. Which is still cheap.

I considered doing it for laughs, but no. Too many skinny petite women to choose from instead, like Nanase from Gingira. All the shops I found through Yoasobi were beginner friendly, you add them on LINE and can communicate in English. They will verify information to make sure you're legit. Very important step, on the top right corner of their site add them on LINE. Then you can do everything in English. Your option is to walk to their shop and use their "incall" which is slightly cheaper. Or have them deliver a girl to your hotel which is better but more expensive. I finally got a dud at Kira Kira, she was new and not good attitude. However, I also know most of their girls are good from trying them too. So I mention this for awareness. Do not use Japanese sites like Cityheaven or Fuzokudx, it is a waste of time! I actually tried using them but usually they don't know how to serve foreigeners. Let's be reasonable. I am not going to personally visit every shop before you and confirm it is foreigner friendly. What I can do is list the ones I already know, whether I went there or someone else went there. Or maybe Manzoku or their website says so. Don't even bother with non-foreigner friendly places. I do not actually recommend going to Japan for normal people - I emphasize that it is really for someone who only likes Japanese women. And Japan is full of Japanese women. Go to Thailand for everyone else. My friend just got back from Thailand, half the time banging multiple women each day but also renting out a woman he particularly liked for many days in a row. That is very common there.

I am unwilling to help lazy people and those who don't read the guides. I wrote them so when I am too old to monger or have passed away, people can still get balls deep in their favorite girls. Without having me personally answering their questions from my grave. As a rule, I don't do Q&As unless I feel I've failed to cover a worthy topic. The guides are meant to catapult people past the beginner steps. The rest you do yourself, it's not hard but it costs money.

Most DH take only cash so at Narita/Haneda I exchange $6K-$10K into yen. The airport exchange is the best rate it is the absolute prime Buy/Sell rate (about +/- 2.5% margin), followed by ATM (2.5-3.5% margin) but ATM can be capped with a daily limit, followed by Travelex once you have left the airport area (about 5.0% margin). Everything else gets worse. Credit cards work for non-adult services perfectly well, but for adult services use cash. This is because some clubs will add 10% or ask for extra verification, and DH will often only take cash.

About choosing a good hotel, if you want girls sent to your hotel you want to be in Shinjuku or Shibuya. Obviously, some hotels are cheaper than others and the cheap ones can be a bit of a walk. Strike a balance there. In most cases you can meet the girl just outside your hotel entrance and lead them up to your room.

The rest is up to you. I figured out the rest myself on my own and with the help of Manzoku to access oppai pubs. Manzoku not only gives you good discounted rates, it escorts you to the shop. They will call the shop first to confirm you are welcome there. Since they rely on repeat customers, they list legit shops. I've used them 20 years.
