I think your main limiting factor is price. Rio does have more low price options concentrated in a smaller area.

One day I woke up and realize that I am spending stupid money with the girls from Scandallo. I mean like meeting them every day living here. LOL. Especially when I can have quality in another country that is top or better than most Scandallo girls for my taste for a fraction of the cost. The one came at 7:30 last night asked for my permission to leave at 10 PM and do everything that I asked. Sex is as good or better for my taste and style. LOL. I didn't control her when she wanted to check her cell. While she went thru her WhatsApp, I asked about the girls she was chatting with. Each one sent picture via WhatsApp so I could see what they look like, and age ranged from too young to 20. I choose and picked who I wanted her to bring for the same price and service without negotiation. hahaha. Of course, this requires a lot of time and investment (this one I met no less than 5 times and it was a dud the first time we met but I have patience. ) so it is not turn-key.

I preferred girls that are not tainted by money yet. Usually these don't deal with foreigners. This is also one of the reasons that I started to travel thru Brazil. I am thankful for Sperto's report. He showed me the way.

And SP is nothing special just a big city.

It's a diverse city with many different cultures from different countries, more vibrant than rio, IMO. I prefer SP by a mile but you have to live here to experience it.

Good report! It's nice to read a different report about Sao Paulo. When I arrive in Rio and travels from the airport I feel alive and bursting from energy when passing by the favelas, morros, tunnels and the beaches. When I arrive in Sao Paulo and travels from the airport to centro I feel sad as I like I arrived in a giant flat and ugly city without energy. Well, that's my opinion.

My last couple visits I've done both Rio and SP and I think I will stick with that. With only an hour flight and $149 you are good to go.

No question Rio is a fun and vibrant city and of course the beach and all. And SP is nothing special just a big city. The big draw of SP is the club scene. The Boate's. Scandallo and Casarao simply don't exist in Rio. Yes there are some girls bars like Dolce Vita and Casablanca. But you are talking 1/5 the girls of casarao and 1/10 the girls of Scandallo.

My advice to others is as follows:

If you enjoy the nightclub scene then SP wins hands down. If that doesn't matter than definitely Rio.

As far as Scandallo goes, if $1000 is a lot of money to you then it's probably not for you. You will find it a "bad value". But if $1000 is neither here nor there for you then its hard to suggest a more fun place on planet earth IMO.

From the Prives, Casa's, massage clinics, Termas. Beaches. Rio wins by a mile. I don't know where you went and when you went there, but I had the blast of my life. Casarao is currently the only bright spark in SP.

I went to Miruna, Abbobora, Klin and others and was disappointed by the quality and price. Scandallo price doesn't make sense to me. To each his own. I left Scandallo to got to Casarao.

Curious about your experience at Seen. Did you stay at the Tivoli? I was reading some reviews of the hotel and some of the guests were complaining that it was filled with prostitutes in the evening, LOL. Like oh no that's terrible, what days and times was it so I know when to not be there!

But I wonder if that's what you saw, if that's what the vibe is. Sounds fun to me!

During the 5-6 visits I've been to Seen, I was always with a date or group of friend or colleagues so never tried to chat up the obvious working girls that was there.

The ones I noticed that were available were all in the bar area. They were generally elegantly dressed and solo or working in pairs. Most of the ones I saw weren't really my type as they were usually in the late 20's or older and had obvious work done.

I would also presume their asking price wouldn't be cheap, as Seen is in a luxury 5 star hotel with lots of businessmen and rich guests.

At least with respect to this year. Was in Brazil last February and March, and never saw so many fat and uglies in Rio! Very disappointing! Sao Paulo won by a mile! But overall both were disappointing compared to prior trips. Still owe two final reports. I hope by next week!

I think Socrates was saying he sees freelancers there. But both times I went were early — like 7 or 8 and the scene was just couples and groups having dinner. It's laid out as a restaurant so not a lot of ways to approach. I suppose there could be some single ladies at the bar. But since I had the hottest girls in the room w me I wasn't paying attention. Hahaha. I def wouldn't suggest it for finding action but maybe late night you might get lucky. Socrates may weigh in as he recommended it to me. Great place to take a date if you want to impress her.

For those wondering about traveling to Sao Paolo or Rio, I will confirm that there is a much higher level in Sao Paolo if it is primarily the ladies that attract you.

4 X4, Montecarlo and Solarium in Rio were a tragedy compared to what I remember from a few years ago. I didn't have time to try Santaurus, but it is probably still the best.

I had my glory days at Help disco and Scandalo in Sao Paolo can't compare to the sexy atmosphere that was there even though Scandalo is definitely the best now. I missed sitting at an outdoor restaurant watching the lovely ladies sit around and start negotiating with horny like-minded people.

I tried Copa Cobana below the Hilton. Here there were lots of hot ladies ready for action before. Now there was nothing to pick up.

Is there no action at the beach anymore?

And aren't there any cool cafes where the ladies operate?

At some point I have the amazing idea that we could repeat the double date concept at Seen (BTW if you have never been to Seen the combo of food and view is stunning). So I text Mark and see if he and his girl are down and then ask Nat and she's all in!

Go to Booking.com and find that hotel. Then go to the hotel in question and go to the reviews page. There is a WiFi overall rating but you can also Search on WiFi to get specific comments (like was hard to connect to vs weak signal). I've def eliminated some hotels this way.

I am always doing exactly what you suggested. Results:

- The internet was not very strong in guest rooms, so working from the room was difficult.

- Location was very good. WIFI worked fine.

- Great WiFi. - no issues at all.

- The WIFI was quiet poor and we found it hard to work from the room. We tried moving around the hotel for a better signal, but to no avail.

- Wifi was slow at times.

- Internet is very bad. The only bad thing there.

This is why I am asking for the experience from the real people who stayed in the hotel in this forum.
