Good advice from Go. Not going to give you any advice here, just some thoughts regarding the scene (s). You mentioned several common approaches for Manila: Street FL, gogo bar girls, escort services, and online FL. All of these are niches in the get-a-girl-tonight system. Covid hit and changed things. Only the gogo bar scene on Burgos remains at roughly the same price point as precovid. Pre- and post-covid, most Burgos bars were around p3900 for the barfine (paid to the bar to take the girl) + morning tip of around p5000 (paid to the girl in full at the time of her departure from your residence IF she performed as agreed). Thats around p9000. Add in any drinks in the bar, and it might be around p10 k.

For all of the other said niches, the price point not only went up, it expanded. To explain by example. Precovid most Burgos streetwalkers were willing to ST for p1500-2000. Covid caused a 2 year hiatus from the game as the government shut down most everything. Post covid (adding inflation), lets say the price went up by p1000. You would think that the new prices would be 2500-3000. But it became (at least for a while) worse than that, it was p2500-4000. That's not only a 66% increase for the base price (1500 to 2500), but a 100% increase for the upper limit (2000 to 4000). That sounds nuts, right? From a percentage perspective, it is. Covid not only pushed prices up by 65-ish%, it also doubled the upper limit. So you have a healthy increase in price, and a much larger increase in the range.

The other niches were similar. And worse. Unlike some countries have systems where there is a standard price list (Germany's FKK, gogos in Thailand, termas in S America), in Phils there is no price list on the wall for you to get an accurate picture of the cost (except Burgos gogo bars, its not on the wall, but its usually standardized in every bar and across most bars, and we discuss the prices here). Worse even is that outside of the gogos, all the FL systems are questionable in what quality you get in service. You are meeting each girl for the first time, you have no idea her service energy for the price you've agreed to up front. Did you contact an agency that requires you to do something you don't want to do? Is that the agency's fault?

You left out some details for Goferring's sniffing nose. How long are you in town? Are you a 2-week warrior? If you are here for a week on your first visit, and you want value for your high-priced trip: A lot of poon, or quality looks, or quality sex -- those are all different things, do you want all three? Then FL might be questionable, and KTV's or gogos might be your only call. Can you afford that? All newbs should pay attention to this paragraph.

I would feel comfortable telling you to go to Germany for your 1-2 week visit, as its a known quantity, things are standardized, everyone has a good time for a reasonable price. Philippines is nicknamed the "Wild West of Sex" for a reason: Things are less standardized, you get ripped off sometimes (its part of the game), and its wildly fun at other times (more fun that in some of the other countries where I've been, where the sex is mechanical, or condom-ized, and there is little / no relationship with the girl.

A last thought about niches. The board used to be geared towards 2-week warriors. Since covid a lot more expats post. Having been a 2-week warrior here for over a decade, and then an expat after, I can tell you that they are 2 different worlds for mongers. Expats aren't always seeking new fresh meat (as warriors do). As a warrior, or expat, you will find that once a girl is with you the first time (or 2 x), if she likes you, she may be willing to see you regularly for a reduced price. We hear prices discussed from fellas who talked to Burgos SW or LA Cafe FL asking startlingly high amounts of money (at least at first offer), knowing that the same girl might be getting with 1 or 2 expats a week for much less. Is she p3000ST on the street? She's probably p1500 (or even less, depending) with her expats. To her, she is comfortable with them, and getting a small steady stream of money each week is better than risking getting nothing this week by staying in the street. Some of the girls I've posted in the past year are in exactly that position. Expensive gogo bar girls can fall into a similar category also. You were correct, I don't pay that much for them, but they are long-time repeats. If I was hunting fresh meat, I'd be in the same position as you.

Finally, a last option, mentioned here before. Approach your hotel security guard, tell him you are looking for a girl. He might ask you specifics (ie, her age limit). Later he will pull you aside and tell you he has someone, and he will tell you her price (say, pX,000). Of course he will expect a tip also after the ditty.

I think this is a lot of discussion that didn't help you. Having said it before, and saying it again: We are all (warriors especially) paying more since covid recovery. Hot FL will run p3-5 k for ST. That's NOT an exact range. You might get lucky at p2000. Or unlucky she won't go for less than 7000. There is no price list, and there are few hotties waiting around to smash temp warriors for a handful of centavos.

I'd agree that 3 k for an attractive freelancer in Makati is a touch light. My price is 4 k LT. Others may be getting it cheaper but that would be based heavily around friends and family referrals or repeat business for existing contacts.

KTVs are probably the most expensive option in Manila. It's been years since I've been in one but I could see 10 or 20 k just being the start of the night and often only includes company or talking. Stunningly beautiful girls but if you have any sort of budget, then just stay away.

Working online doesn't have to be a long drawn out process. In big cities, with lots of options, like Manila or Cebu, I can have a girl in a taxi in 30 or 60 minutes. The steps are simple: be in town, ready to go now (none of this see you next month BS); peak times are midday or after 10 pm (forget about early mornings); your profile needs to include a photo, real or not, and that your location is Makati, Malate etc; set your search radius to 10 or 15 miles; message girls directly with your intentions without being insulting; be in a hotel or condo that is easy for her to find or get to; have a budget but don't give off Cheap Charlie vibes or go without for the sake of saving P500. Don't block girls quoting 10 or 15 k today. Be firm but polite with your bid price, thank them and move on. It's not at all unusual for them to return in a couple of days agreeing to your original offer.

Who did you see from Manila courtesans? I've used them before with positive experience, and the convenience is good. Not taken from the Citadel, but that's a good guess. Agree with your assessment of Citadel. It was one of the first places I stayed in Manila 2 decades ago, and my first impression of the unit was: Dated, needs a makeover! That was then, and nothing has been updated. Also the world's slowest elevators. Plan to wait in the lobby at the elevator for several minutes when you want to get up to your room (or vice versa).

Additionally I got c*ck-blocked (well, ISG-blocked) with the error warning several times this morning (over several hours) visit the site. Tried also several different VPN locations, no luck. Similar yesterday.

I'm not a huge fan of P. Burgos street due to the high costs related to barfines etc. There are a few massage girls hanging out on the nearby streets (such as the one leading to Handlebar). You can get what you need from them at a cheaper price. They're not as hot as the bar girls, but you can get a massage and the dirty deed for less. They'll start at 4 k but you can easily get the price down. This option is handy if you can't take someone back to your hotel and don't want the hassle of a short time hotel and freelancer. Don't expect the massage room to be luxurious though. And watch for the LBs (unless that's your thing).

If the average wage in 2019 was about 15,000 a month and now it is 25,000 so an increase of 60% which is pretty impressive. Average price was 1,000 to 1,500 then which correlates to 1,600 to 2,400. I HIGHLY recommend you find the Grab booth in any of the terminals and either download and use the Grab app, or have a Grab employee at the Grab booth book for you. Avoid taxis. AVOID any person who approaches you and offers transport. There are so many scammers and so many scam victims on Reddit. The airport has put out social media posts, posted signs and started public announcements to AVOID AVOID AVOID all persons who approach you for a ride but people still fall for it, every day.

I ALWAYS use the yellow taxis on arrival. No fuss. Yellow cabs are always available no matter what time of day. Just get the chit from the despatcher and away we go. I have never had a scam or attempted scam.

Have to agree Red. I do the same on business trips and get to my hotel in Makati knowing I'll be paying a little bit more than other dodgy options.

But hey, after a long flight, what's a few hundred Peso extra and the time involved trying to get a cheaper fare?

The only hassle recently at Terminal 1 was trying to find a yellow cab after they'd moved from just outside the terminal doors to the left.
